No, thats on stock exhaust mani for both the test and control runs.

Part of the reason this testing is taking so long is swapping the darn manifolds out so many times The other part is that work doesn't ever seem to drop out of overdrive...

If we can get 5 people interested I can get it down to $550 without the coating and we do have a core available. I wish I could do better, but we honestly have like 2 days of solid porting into each manifold lol. The port job looks awesome but I can't help thinking a completely new manifold made for a larger throttle body would be a better option.

You know... I really cannot believe there aren't 4 people interested in this... especially considering the number of people going big turbo. Good power gains, reduced flow imbalance and reduced EGTs, and most importantly, its sexy as hell.

MAP, are you a vendor on any other mazdaspeed forums? mazdas247? 6club? mazda3forums? I think you can get 4 people if you expand the group buy to some other forums.

i need one of these now! i broke my manifold! is there 3 more interested!? i need this asap!!!!!!!

MAP, if you want to send me one at 550 i'll pay for the coating as well and i'll give you all the data you want. CP-E will be tuning me and i think this will be a good test and proof for your product! I can send you all my datalogs from my dashhawk to show the power this thing puts down from untuned to tuned for my big turbo. Click my link to see my mods. Not too many others going with what I have.

Any tips/recommendations on how to efficiently plug the vacuum hole on the top of the manifold where that small black, plastic, block plugs in?

I did the MIL delete wiring yesterday and it worked great, but I realized that the hole wasn't plugged at that location and got a huge leak. I just bolted the block back on for now...

There are no threads on that location FYI.

I used a drill to bore out that little hole a bit, then used a tap to thread it, then an allen bolt + a little RTV = no more leaks.

Obviously you could just plug the little black box back in and cap off all the lines. Honestly that's probably easier.

Also, Alpha, I'm curious, did you see gains as noticeably as I did?

Yeah, I put the black box back on temporarily, but was hoping to be able to plug it and remove all that extra junk.

I can't really say since I added a tune, ported TB, and downpipe at the same time. The car makes torque though, that's for sure. Haha!

I'm going to sit tight and see what CP-E comes out with, but that's the only thing I'd swap the MAP IM for.
