(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I think I already know the answer but I thought I'd ask anyway. Do I have a chance? I'm guessing a dig is out due to awd, but maybe 40-100? I've heard awd is slower on the top end. Also, from what I can find the A5 is about 3700 lbs. So the MS3 has a power to weight ratio advantage, but that's just talking about peak and from what I've seen on dynos the 2.0T isn't a peaky motor. His car feels pretty strong when I've ridden in it and shifts super fast...faster than I could for sure. Anyway, I'll see if we can find an answer to this question over the weekend, but thought I'd see what other people expect the result to be ahead of time. |

I wouldnt get in a pissing contest about price points with the Audi driver - two very different cars that really cannot be compared. quattro eats up about 24-27 percent of the crank power so that A5 is closer to about 200awhp fwiw. If you must go all fast and furious I would suggest against a race from a dig. thats is where Audi quattro shines; and yes of couse an AWD car will suffer slightly compared to a car that is 2 wheel drive on the top end, but slightly - not enough to discount the Audi as your internet-street race-on paper lol.

Good to know. Thanks. Yeah they are certainly in a different class, but the price difference is quite large. I think he paid in the mid 50s plus a grand for the reflash. Nice car though, but not what I'd spend 50+ on. |

dude, you'll be fine. if anything, his flash may allow him to keep up with your STOCK ms3. if you got the Cobb AP and flashed an OTS stage 1 map, it wouldn't even be a question. think about it, at stock, you make the exact same HP at the crank and about 20tq less. like you said, you are lighter and he is AWD.
