Its no slouch, especially modded. Its got the L76 motor.

360hp paired with a curb weight of almost 4100lb. A mildly bolted MS3 should be able to keep up for a while. The V8 will have top end though and wont run out of breath like the K04 will. Seems thats what happened when he started pulling on you.

Leave it to Pontiac to come out with a nice car right before GM cuts their division. They should have never wasted their time with the GTO.

GXP is supercharged and they did come 6 speed. Deldran is right they will be super collectible in 15 years. G8 GTs are relatively rare but the GXPs are extremely rare I actually don't think I've ever seen one. All the rednecks at Meecum auto auction are going to want one in 15 years.

the last time i went to the track they had a g8 club day they were all running 12s in street trim

the 99 ls1 trans am i had was really fun to drive but the speed 3 has been faster at the track with a few mods. still kinda wish i'd kept it though

SLP came out with a supercharged version I think called the firehawk it was red, and made like 500 some odd horsepower. I wanted a G8 a couple years ago, but I'm glad I chose the car I did.
