Default Smokey and the bandit

I just saw this section of the forum so I figured this would be the place to show my other two rides. I don't name my vehicles but I do refer to the pair as smokey and the bandit sometimes. The 74 yamaha rd250 is a two stroke street bike so it smokes and the 2001 suzuki bandit is...well a bandit. Neither bike was in good shape when I got them. The bandit bairly ran and the RD didn't run at all.

The bandit has a nice list of fixes and mods and is the daily rider if need be. Reliable and bulletproof. Has a stage 2 jet kit, open airbox with high flow filter, 5 degree ignition advancer, scorpion race pipe, progresive rear shock and front springs, fork brace, zero gravity double bubble windshield, HID low beam, HIR high beam, Corben gunfighter seat, pazzoish levers, galfer lines, new clutch, new alternator, new battery, new vacuum lines, new brake pads, rebuilt petcock and a few other small parts. Needs new tires and new front rotors.

The 74 RD250 was a mess when I got it. Leaking fuel from the side of the case and the the gas tank. Had to replace a few seals and treat the badly rusting tank with caswell after cleaning it. Shocks were shot so those were replaced. Petcock was clogged, carbs were so varnished its not even funny, took three cleanings to get it to where I could run the bike and rejet. Timing was way off and was the only thing I had done on the bike for me aside from the seat. Exhaust was rusted badly but I found some nice NOS pipes after lots of looking. Signals were replaced, some paint was touched up. Airbox was half rotted away so I repaired that as well. I did take the seat to a local guy to have redone and altered but aside from that I tried to keep the bike mostly stock and period correct. It won best in show metric at my towns yearly bike fest.
