Haha, I was interested for about two seconds in the larger core version till I read that your not offerering any replacement for the oem bar that has to be removed. Please tell there is nobody stupid enough to do this. The fact that you have a disclaimer shows that your worried about the outcome shold someone get in a frotal crash. Please tell me i read this all wrong. Customer service means nothing if you customer is dead. I try not to slam your products but this is a total marketing fail if this is true. Poeple on this forum are sketchy about modifing their crashbar let alone removing it completly and not replacing it with something as worthy.

There's a reason that "It is not recommended for street use." Is in the description for the larger core.

Ok so that makes it alright? Whether you crash on the track or the street you still have no protection. I guess price trumps safety for some people. Not me.

some people dont use the MS3 as a DD. some people just want to mod the shit out of it and go fast. which is done in the track BTW.

I asked this before, but does the CS SRI FMIC work with COBB or other SRI?

The reason i ask is because there are many members who have other SRI as part of their set ups. From what i can see, it looks compatible but would like to make sure. I would definitely be interested in buying the FMIC and i know that the market would expand if it is confirmed.

We put up the option for a larger core for people who want it. It is not for everyone and we understand and give the warnings about removing the crash bar.

rghispanic88,

We have not had a car come through with a COBB SRI or any other brands so I dont have an answer on that for you.

BTW bro. FYI People that track their cars seriously are more safety conscious than daily drivers will ever be. They don't just mod their cars and go fast with out taking safety under serious consideration. The track officials feel the same way. That's the reason helmets and safety inspections are mandatory before you can put your car on the track. Anyway I''ll leave you to continue with this thread. I stated my thoughts and I'm out.

Chill out man. CS is not the first company to release a FMIC with no crash bar. The driver should be fully conscious of his decision of removing the bar.

Can't you just purchase the UR crash bar for $150 and the big CS fmic for $750? If that combo works its only $900.

No, the CS core is taller. You'd have to make your own crash bar.

Yes you can just purchase a UR crashbar, don't know if it fits the CS or not though...I bought one the other day. It was like $194 shipped to Texas.

The CS core is 11 inches while the UR is around 8 I believe. It most likely would hit it

LOL. Fully chilled like my 12 pk of MGD. Your right, it's on the customer not CS. A disclaimer for not passing emissions is one thing but a disclaimer for safety just rubbed me the wrong way at the time of my rant.

We have not confirmed fitment with the cp-e SRI. It may work if you do not use their mounting brackets, but without actually having one here to install and test fit, we cannot say with complete certainty.
