Default ETS TMIC ?

Just installed an ETS TMIC that I got from a member. I checked for fitment to the hood rubber seal and is not touching. Anyone here added washers to bring up for the seal and how many is needed.

Think I'm just going to space the shroud to fit...that way I'll get some air flow over the end tanks too. The IC is perfect to the bottom of the scoop area.

I have the same issue, bought an ETS used from a member here and it appears to be for a gen 1 as well. Post up how much spacing you have to add to make it fit properly when you do it. I was sizing it up the other day and it looks like quite a bit.

I've raised it up 1/2 in and not enough but in 90degree ambient I'm only 15 over, under boost. Really don't know if it need to be sealed tight. And if ths shroud is up too far you're not getting any air on the end tanks. Kind of like it that I can play with the height.

It's dark here now and I shined a light thru the scoop and the IC set flush with the bottom of it and fills the whole area...I don't feel the shroud does anything of much importants...the fit is perfect...take a look and let me know what you think.

Ideally you want a tight seal, as it restricts the engine air from negating advantages of the colder ambient air.

The shroud should be available from ETS. The intercooler itself is an awesome piece. Well worth the money.

I'm going to derail this thread because I truly don't care to start a new one. Has anyone had an issue with the cold pipe boost tube. I have the sure ones and the cold pipe isn't long enough to completely seal on the throttle body. I ran into an issue with it coming off under hard acceleration and boost. It just seems to short. Anyone else experience this or something familiar?

Yeah they were bought all while back when the group buy was going on. When it blew off I didnt have time to look I was more concerned with getting off the side of the freeway and getting to work. The hot pipe seems to long
