Default FFS and LC ( im scareeeed)

I have heard about the LC and FFs being an issue on going very lean and causing our motors to pop. With this being said for example. I know the Ap cuts fuel for this feature. For instance the 2step when engaged. I go from 14.7afr at idle to 28ish in 2step. Verrrry lean under 3lbs of boost. I have yet to monitor afr during shifts thow. But when i did not use ffs it would dip into the 10s aka rich which is normal and im not concerend about that. But with all these threads of blowing motors and ffs being a big culprit are you guys saying screw it and just banging gears with no ffs??? Or is it really worth it??

both ffs and lc are fuel cut. hence why you see lean afr using lc. ffs has been known to give you rich afrs if you lift anf shift.

just ffs and come back and tell us how much you like it son

Maybe I wasnt very clear my bad

This morning for example. I did a wot run from 3rd to 4th

Not using the no lift shift I hit high 10s during the shift then it made its way back to 11.8afr
(normal)

Using the no lift shift from 3rd to 4th it hit 12.7 and just stayed there for more than my liking while i was accelering so i backed off.

Flat foot shift im not lifting because your not suppost too just keep the pedal pinned and go threw the gears with the clutch.

He just said that. If you have it enabled and use ffs it will be a tad lean, if you have it enabled and don't use it it'll be rich.

True that... If you shift fast enough, FFS is sort of irrelevant. It's nice to have for missed shifts however. Cmon we all miss the shift to 3rd sometimes.

How would you disable ffs? Just leave its value at redline?

This is exactly what I am doing. I actually just did another 3rd to 4th run only becuase it is the easiest quickest shift. Yet again right after the shift i saw a 13 then it stayed right at 12.8afr and i accelerated a good 5-10 mph more and i said fuck that and let off. Any insight to this??

See if they have a car there they can compare afr #'s too in person while using the ffs. It would be a big help for all of us ffs users to see it from the source.

Talked to the guys at cobb. They said they found the issue but its in the testing phase before they do a release on it. No time frame on when they are though yet.

Hmm I have FFS enabled but I never use it. I guess I should disable it incase I'm running rich after shifts (havent checked)

I wish there was a dashhawk for genpus

I am using my aeroforce and that is how i am seeing my afr's. I'm sure not many ms3's owners are actually monitoring this.

I thought cobb already did an update on this?

Had the pleasure of experiencing this during tonight's Test-n-Tune. AFR's in the 12.6 range at WOT going from 3rd to 4th. knock all throughout 4th as well.

I think it's because it's easier for them to implement seeing as how they use fuel cut for load targets and such.
