Default Freektune or Tuned By Nishan?

Well the title basically says it all. I just ordered my fmic and once installed Iím planning to get a custom e-tune but Iím confused as who to go with. Iím trying to make the most power out of the upgrades I have but also have my car being healthy and reliable. Who do I go with? Has anyone out there had both?
My upgrades are:
COBB Accessport
JBR SRI w/TIP
JBR Short Shift Plate
JBR 88mm Rear Motor Mount
Autotech Fuel Pump Internals
TBE (Straight Pipe Single Exit)

both are very highly regarded and respected. you really can't go wrong with either. how does the waiting list between the 2 compare? if you have questions, hit them both up and see who you get a better vibe from.

Should also look into a guy named Dizzy tuning. Guy name is Jason. I had him do my speed when i had it and he did a great great job! i would high recommend and when i get another speed i will have him do my car again.

Thanks bro. Iíll definitely email them both and see who Iím going with. Iím thinking Iím probably gonna go with Justin cause one his tune is a littler cheaper and also from the reviews he does a lot of refining to his tune to get you the best result possible. Iím sure Nishan does the same just didnít really read that in the reviews, but definitely gonna email them both before making my final decision.

Thanks for the recommendation bro. Iíll definitely check him out too. Does he have a website? He does e-tunes right? Iím in Toronto, so canít really travel to the states to get a tune. Well I could but donít really wanna put on the kmís if I donít have to.

www.dizzytuning.com yeah he does Etune. pump gas and E85. He send you a base map and you will log and send it to him. its simple and pretty fast as long as your car is in good shape. He was very patience with me and i ran into a few problems cause of my own doing. but he is a great guy and i would check him out for sure. I think he lower on the price too

Jason is great to work with. Super quick replies and very tailored towards your goals, all while being super reliable. Been with him for about a year and Iím about to work with him again once I get some new parts on in the next week or two. Freek, Nishan, Purpledrank are also solid choices for sure. You really canít go wrong with any of them. But give Jason (Dizzy tuning) a shot. Heís phenomenal

I'm sure everyones biased to their tuner, myself included. This platform has been out for so long that a few tuners have mastered it. At that point it just comes down to preference and convenience.

Surprised Jason didnít hit you back for real. I just got my base map from him still waiting for a couple parts to come in and get installed then weíre going to start the revisions

I actually just bought an e-tune through the website yesterday, but didn't receive any kind of confirmation email or anything. Emailed him later that day but didn't hear back yet. I'll just assume he's busy...

Ok awesome Iím glad to hear that Iím currently on my base map it runs a little rich at first but Jason tells you to drive 100 miles (160kms) on it then do idle and maf calibration logs Iím just at 120kms and fuel trims are evening out or coming down now and car feels a lot more amazing canít wait to send in my logs and get the revisions done. I can already tell this is gonna be good!!!

Yeah, I think starting rich is normal, as it's safer. Justin@Freektune started me at 11.3 AFR, getting as rich as 10.8 at higher RPMs. After a few revisions, he pulled it back to the 11.8 to 11.6 range.

How much boost are you running? Jason started me with 19.5 psi and 11.1 AFR and at first short term fuel trims stayed at -25.00 for the first like 30kms then slowly went down, AFR goes down to about 10.8 when I go into boost (havenít hit for than 7psi cause it is base map and Iím not sure Iím suppose to until asked for WOT log) but now after 160kms my STFT idle between -7.12 and -9.38 fluctuating. Just sent in my first set of logs to get my first revision done so will give updates on the progress.

Yup, those AFRs look normal for a base tune. I believe your STFT running negative is a good sign, meaning the ECU doesn't think it needs to run as rich.

My tune targeted 20psi, and the most I've ever seen is just over 21 PSI when it's cold.

He'll likely begin target higher 11 AFRs and more advanced ignition timing which will make the engine run better and have more power. With 93 octane, we had to work hard to dial in timings that wouldn't induce excessive knock. Though even on my final map, I can see up to 2.0KR. On E33, I'll never see real knock over 0.7, and that's with as much ignition timing as Justin was willing to push. E33 is a world of difference, the engine just feels happier and livelier.

Jason started me with 19.5 psi and 11.1 AFR and at first short term fuel trims stayed at -25.00 for the first like 30kms then slowly went down, AFR goes down to about 10.8 when I go into boost (havenít hit for than 7psi cause it is base map and Iím not sure Iím suppose to until asked for WOT log) but now after 160kms my STFT idle between -7.12 and -9.38 fluctuating. Just sent in my first set of logs to get my first revision done so will give updates on the progress.

Yes, this morning. He said everything looked great and asked for the same. I sent the 3rd gear logs a couple of hours ago. I'm trying to be as responsive as possible. It was nice putting that throttle down!
