Default Check Engine Light randomly came on

I have a SURE Aeros SRI and I have had it on for almost two months no problem, thats my only real mod.

Today my cel came on, not sure why, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? Anything I can do, any trouble shooting tips? I tightened everything down but it still comes on.

Thanks

that sucks, i just got my sure aeros but haven't installed it yet

i've read that a possible reason you were to get a CEL from a SURE Aeros was if the air straightener was moving around in the intake, IIRC

I had a CEL on my stock (at the time) speed, ended up being a bad MAF sensor wire. It was a P0171 code. Don't know if that will help, maybe it can point you in the right direction.

Dude with out a code and no details as to how the car is running who knows what it is.
Is the car running fine? Are u waisting more/less gas. Is there anything weird different that you did when the code came on? How long have you had the cel for?
Get the code read then come back, right now anything anyone says is just an uneducated guess.

i suggest a ultra gauge or a scan gauge as well; until you get an AP.

1. diagnose
2. call Sure: Sure says: We Stand Behind Our Products // We’re confident about our products; we want you to be too. We guarantee that the use of our products will not cause any check engine lights, across our entire product line. If a CEL is thrown, we will troubleshoot the code and find a solution immediately. Our product line also carries a limited lifetime warranty, which includes wear items like our urethane and intake filters.
We want your experience enjoyable from start to finish and complete peace of mind when you choose SURE Motorsports for your Mazda vehicle.

Small evap leak, did you recently get gas? You could have possibly left the cap loose. Reinstall cap, have code removed, see if it returns.

That's what I tried, it's still there I didn't have it removed I'm thinking it'll go away, does this car need to have it removed? My accord you could fix it and it could go away on its own,

Thanks

Make sure after you get gas and put the cap back on that you are "clicking" it at least three times.
