Exclamation clueles

so I have an 07 ms3 that ive had for almost 4 years. a little over 100k miles on it and the turbo starts leaking oil. at this point I have tubo back exhaust with no kat so it just dumps smoke all over. I pull the turbo out and the housing has a giant crack in it. so I order a new ko4 and a set of headers. im in the process of putting the header, turbo, dp, and rest of exhaust back on. Im just curious if I should get it tuned after putting an aftermarket header on it. its an aftermarket ko4 with downpipe and aftermarked exhaust the rest of the way back. also have cold air intake.

ive been kind of looking into an accessport but not sure if that would be beneficial in my situation. im new to this stuff so any input would be greatly appreciated.

If I read that correctly, you have an aftermarket downpipe correct? If so please please please tell me you have at least upgraded HPFP internals, cause otherwise you're gonna long term playing with fire. And HPFP and accessports are the first two upgrades most people on here recommend, as they are essentials to this platform once you start building.

QFMFT. Get dem HPFP internals now if you don't have them already, and go light on the throttle until they're installed.

A custom tune will also do wonders for any Speed, even on a completely stock setup. AP or VT and then work with one of our established and excellent e-tuners; very highly recommended to safely get the most out of the car.

And you don't have headers, you have an exhaust manifold. What one did you go with on the shit k04? The ebay $179 special?

Had the car for 4 years, and you are new to this? You don't think once about maybe learning about the $10,000+ investment that you made and use everyday?

I don't think OP realizes the tune is where the power really comes from... That poor speed, ringlands are probably already done for.

Accessport and HPFP should have been the first you things gotten.

You get used to it. I take my backpack (with laptop and cables inside) everywhere I go. Doesn't matter if I'm just going down the street to drop off trash, my laptop is with me.

Guy doesn't even realize hes hardly making extra power with bolt ons and no tune. Versatune would likely new too complex Shadow is right an AP would likely be the better bet for OP.
