Default CV boot tear

Right next to my inside cv boot closer to the center of the axel is a bearing that has a black housing which looks to be connected to the engine block or something. Today I was under the car fucking with the RMM when I noticed there was a oily looking substance on the housing of that axle bearing. it looks to be engine oil or something but it is like leaking from the bearing or the boot next to it. Any ideas ? car has 6700 miles
