Default Potential clutch issue. need help

ok so ive done a lot of searching both on and off this forum and havent found anyone experiencing the same issue as me.

i first noticed the issue when i was next to a wall and the sound bounced back at me but its started to get louder. it sounded like a metal scraping/maybe a rubber squeaking when going in to first almost like aluminum foil scraping is the best way i can describe it. the noise is not made in neutral when pressing and releasing the clutch only when the clutch is engaging and sometimes i can hear it when going over bumps like it almost sounds like a suspension issue but its clearly not.

ive tested this by just slowly clutching in to first with no gas and it only starts making the noise right as the gear is grabbing. also the sound usually only happens right after i drive the car really hard and is hot. also once if i turn the car off i can hear the noise as its shutting off, it almost sounds like a squeaky belt. im really lost as to what it could be any ideas what this could be?

i can try making a video if possible but my exhaust is really loud so im not sure how it would turn out. thanks guys

Mount the camera up front, take multiple shots and areas that you can hear it most in the videos.
Clutches make noise so it might just be your first time hearing clutch noise amplified off walls, but from what you described it might be a worse issue.
Any vibes and/or grabbing issues? Does it slip at all?
Also did you ever question the integrity of your clutch at any point in time before you heard these noises?
I've had a nice long relationship with clutch chatter, so I'm somewhat used to noises from there. A video would really help

no vibes or grabbing, the clutch works perfectly fine and i did not question its integrity at all before i heard the noises, and even now that i hear the noises it still works perfectly fine.

the noise is strange, because it only starts when the car is warm after being driven hard and recently its been making noise when the car is going over bumps or is being jolted around. its so strange. ill try and take a video of it soon

Does the noise change with rpm or speed or constant?

noise only lasts for a split second while the clutch is engaging, and then once i get on the gas i cant hear it at all. probably because im straight pipe so im not sure if its still making the noise. i got it on video last night im going to upload it today.

Yes, drive it until it breaks. Seriously. When whatever is failing gets worse you'll know what it is.

Unless you have drivability issues I really think you're being paranoid and over reacting to what your car is doing.

The steering in my Tacoma was a little stiff. Figured it was just old. Then one day the lower ball joint fell out. Next day problem solved and it drives great.

It's the disk scrapping against the FW and PP FFS! When not fully engaged it slips on these two and it doesn't do that quietly all the times.

I wasn't saying to not be safe about it. LIke @Fstrnyou; example of a bad ball joint; it is certainly not something you would want to put off fixing. I gathered your noise had nothing to do with the suspension.

I have little noises that emanate form my car now and then. Clunks and creaks. Of course I get under there right away and check everything I possibly can. Lately its been things as simple as sway bar bushings needing grease, or loose exhaust bolts. Though when driving sounds much worse!

Sounds like @mituc; hit the nail on the head though. He's very knowledgeable so I agree with him 100%.

If you rip on your car daily however, you have to expect things will break and/or wear out prematurely.

yea makes sense. just weird because it does this EVERY day after i drive the car for a little bit. if it was once in a while it wouldnt concern me but yea every single day after i drive for about 15 minutes itll squeak every time i shift and then when i turn the car off even when its not in gear it makes a shit load of noise winding down. i have warranty to 125k miles through carmax and a really low deductible so ill at least go and have it checked out this coming week. thanks for the help guys ill let ya know how it goes.

im planning on being stage 3 really soon so if it is the clutch ill just drive it till it dies and get a new fancy one put on

Unless you like penises in your butt, we don't do stages roun' these parts

Mazdaspeeds generally make odd noises, TBH I wouldnt worry about it, drive the car and enjoy it. if it bothers u that much, just turn the radio up a lil louder when driving.

Stage 7 is legit though.

Since 2of3 urethane engine mounts, BSD and ACT clutch, I'm not sure anymore if my car is falling apart. I'll know when I know.

im planning on being stage 3 really soon so if it is the clutch ill just drive it till it dies and get a new fancy one put on
