Default Are power gains cumulative with bolt on's?
Probably a noob question but I am curious...

Lets say I have 3 popular bolt-on mods with average reported power gains:

SRI +15hp
TMIC +20hp
Test Pipe +10hp

Am I really netting 45hp in power gains or are these individual gains on an otherwise stock car?

Nope, but that would be fucking grand if they were cuz I'd be at like 320 whp!

Stage 2 tune 30ish whp
FMIC/ram air 30ish whp (according to Corksport anyway... Don't know how thy can determine that?)
Cobb DP 30ish whp

So, 230+90=320, but in reality I'm probably not even 290... Car still feels fucking great though!

I wouldn't get too caught up in manufacture's hp numbers. We all know good mod paths for these cars, just do that with out worrying about numbers so much.

hp gains are used to sell products...nothing more...nothing less

as moose said we all know the good paths for these cars....so just follow them...and dyno when you are done if you are curious...better yet just hit the track

I'd say that "45" is more like 25ish.

I don't know about these 15 hp claims for SRI's either. I mean maybe 5 ponies, but I am gonna do it more so for the sound then the "15 hp"'....

I agree, I k ow nothing about numbers but what I've read, and I know that's probably bs. Anyway, I've felt gains after two mods, and they were not a Sri, or Corksport FMIC/ram air.

I felt it after John I'm lucky I didn't blownthe fuck ups tune @the shop ct, and when I got my DP+stage 2 tune. But, I can only guess at actual numbers.

It would be nice, but no. The gains are not that big untill you start messing with ecu so it can use the mod's you put on it.
