Default 2010 Speed3 Dyno @ Corksport

Yesterday, 8/11/12, I drove about 3 hours to get to Corksport HQ for their summer event. It was a show and shine, dynos, and over all relaxing/chill. I was the last FWD to go up on the dyno, and was expected to get around 250hp, 260hp tops...

After a cloud of catless exhaust settled, I looked at the screen and saw 286.5hp...

Awesome results! Especially for us just barely starting on the tune. From what I could see, it looked like a very flat tq curve through most of the rpm range. Do you happen to have a printout of the sheet?

There were a few other speeds, but also RX7's and Mazda 3 hatchbacks. I don't believe any of them were BT's though... There was a gen 1 with full bolt ons and a few more things that I don't have, and I still ended up with more ponies than him.

I heard of a roughly 600hp Speed 3 and there wasn't an AWD dyno available. They are apparently quite costly

First time I've seen a MS3 make more HP than TQ.

Your numbers where on the stock intercooler correct if so that little thing was working its ass off to pull that 3rd run. Still respectable numbers!!!!

We're those 4th gear pulls? Seemed Really quick to me.

That does sound like 3rd. I have never dyoed on one of those dyno's but I know when I was working with a Mustang dyno, 3rd gear would read the exact same as 4th gear (rd like load conditions) Just like using VD. Most dynojets will not read 3rd gear power the same, so I'm assuming this is a high load dyno.

His tune was only a couple maps in for this, and he also had plugs that were incorrectly gapped. We found out when we raised the boost and started getting blow out. It definitelt seems like it's going to be a strong one!

Like I said before, there's apples and lemons for engines. I'm assuming I snagged an apple. Plugs are now gapped properly, so the tune will continue. I see another dyno pull coming sometime after Christmas; gotta see what Santa drops off
