Default Got into the 12's yesterday

Here are the best passes of the day







This was the first time out on the hoosiers, and I need more practice. Both runs the car spun slightly through first. Car needs more MPH!!!!

At this point what mods will make more power while sticking with the stock turbo?? Id really like to get closer to the 11's before a turbo swap

short shifter! won't make more power, but may help with the 1/4 mile times. JBR short shift plate ftw!

tried the short shifter plate and hated it, and yes the 60' needs to come down for sure. But Im gonna need to trap more than 109 to get where I want it to be

You could try a couple of things:

E85 tune <-- a lot of power to be had. Especially at the top end.


Ex-Manifold <-- Also helps with flow a bit.


FFS <-- Not sure if you did this already


And depending on your mileage, some intake valve cleaning!


In b4 first 11sec stock turbo MS3!

The car has 12k on it, not sure when the valves need cleaning. The FFS is set to 5500. And who is the e85 tuning champ? Need moar faster!!!

Im not sure which way I want to go once we finally upgrade the turbo, so Id rather not get a mani that Im just going to be replacing soon (hopefully that is haha)

I have no idea what I was launching at, I dont use launch control and was just going by feel and sound.

They are hoosier qtp 26x9.5x16's. If you really want to hook at the track I wouldnt go with drag radials. I was still able to spin these through first if I launched too high.

And Im not sure on the camera, my friend is all into that stuff and he was taking the shots.

meth ftw very cheap HP to be had however i hear it gets better gains via tuned for meth.

Fantastic pics! And good time. I bet you can do better than 1.90. You did heat them up right? Yeah drag radials suck; well I mean they help but the difference between DRs and street tires is not nearly as much between DRs and slicks! Fun isn't it?

What rpm's were you shifting at. I went to the tack last week and best I could do was 13.9@107, but my 60fts are terrible. 2.5-2.6 and can't figure out the best way to launch. Any pointers? Lol

I also just picked up a set of hoosiers, so hopefully this will do the trick and get me in he 12's as well, but need driver mod... Bad

Cut your 60's down to the 1.6-1.7 area with the same setup and you'll graze high 11's. Meth and a retune and you can pull some more power out of that thing.

That brings up a great point. He has aftermarket springs which I'm supposing have a higher spring rate. Yet the car still squats that much. Has anyone documented how much traction can be gained with stiffer (rear at least) spring? When you ran your 12.5, did you still shift ~6000? Or did you go a bit higher cause of your tune?

some people have had issues adjusting the shifter including myself with a plate. many many ppl are more than happy with theirs but some ppl have had issues, which in turn is not good for your synchros

I've seen you at Sac before. It looks like you are running too low of pressure in those slicks, you're just killin the sidewall and making the slick spin. Try running a higher pressure and do a 2nd gear burnout and roll out of it. When I had my SRT I ran a smaller slick than you and would go 1.70's. Congrats on the time. Next time I see you out there I'll say hi.

I was thinking the same thing on the tire pressure. They look a bit too low. Have to find the sweet spot between traction and mph.
