Default Looking for a Brake pad install DIY?

I'm trying to change my brake pads, and i'm having some issues taking the caliper off. Does anyone have a link to a DIY? I tried the search button but didn't find anything.

you shouldnt have to take the caliper off to replace the pads. most require you to loosen one bolt and remove another and rotate one half of the caliper out of the way. think you need some large torx sockets for this one.

are you replacing due to wear, or are you upgrading?

These calipers don't just rotate like most disc brake calipers, but i think i may have found what i needed. I'm upgrading because i like Hawk HPS pads and i autoX this car and i could smell the stock pad overheating last event. I'm also painting my calipers, so i want to make it as easy as possible. Going to get the rotor out of the way.

I want to groan him so bad, but that was actually a pretty good writeup he linked to.

Eh, I'll groan it anyhow, and then reference it when I change my pads for the first time.

The information, no matter how old is quite valid as there are still some people still buying the last of the Gen 2 Mazdaspeed 3's. I take it that some of you didn't know what to do your first brake replacement? Hence, the displaced anger. Don't worry you can hug my sack for comfort. Ja ja ja ja ja.
