@bmannn Thanks as well, how much space do you have between the strut and the inside of the tire? I was going to run 245/45/17's Direzza*specs on a 17x9-40 offset.

space between tire and strut 1/2 inch at most, it is tight. I was worried about how close it was. but about 500 miles now and all is good. Figured I could always space it if needed.

Mud guards ? no way. I will just wash it alot

bmannn,

Thank you for your post! I'm sure many will find this post very useful when they consider this wheel and tire size.

I see you have eibach springs listed. How much drop do they give you over stock?

Have you had issues with rubbing at full lock or tire and fender contact on full compression?

Have you had to roll your fenders?

Thanks again!

eibach drop is only aprox 1.5 in front 1 in rear. no rubbing ever front or rear. no fender roll needed. eibach springs are stiff. rear dosent even come clost to hitting. rear is where some have to roll with this size wheel and tire. but due to the offset and stiff springs its good.

If he took it to -2 camber he would have no stick out. He claims -1.4 but thats impossibe without camberplates. My guess is its -.5-.8 at most. I have same setup with 37offset and it takes camber to get them in there.

Took a ride out to GT Spec today to test fit a set of 17x9/+38 too close to the strut for me. only 3/16" of clearance. Once 245/45's go on it would be a no go for me, so going with a 17x8.5 /+32 and a 255/40's will be my set up for spring.

I was on sportlines which are even lower than yours and using a pry bar to push the strut over I still couldnt get that much camber. Its just strange that with a mild drop you got that much. Who knows I guess?

Going coil overs so I might just wait for those first. Then the 17x9's might do better.

@everyone ..

Is the GenPu suspension/stance that different from GenWon?

I wanted to run a similar setup and it didn't look possible whatsoever without rolling a decent amount and spacers to boot.

Since then I've decided on 235..but fuck, 255 would be great for putting down this power..

If i recall correctly, Genpu's have about 10mm more clearance. Don't qoute me on that tho. I know for certain that wider wheels and tires are more feasible on the Pu then the Done.
