Default 18x8.5 +33 fitment...

hey i don't post much here as i'm mostly on tm3

i'll be putting on 350z 18x8.5 +33 rims with 225 profile tires and 5mm spacers lowered on speed prokits (so almost stock height)
i have a slight suspicion i may have to roll my fenders but just looking for a confirmation.

another thing that i haven't figured out yet is the lug style as i didn't check before dropping them off for powder coating. does anyone know if the oem mazda lugs will fit? I'm just hoping they're not the 90degree ones as they're pretty hard to find

any help is appreciated.

>yes i know they are heavy and staggered and doesn't make much sense for performance... but they look nice and until i start actually modding the car, it'll be all show =]

With 225's you shouldn't rub on the pro-kits

Agreed...we've also forgotten to even look at the offset with respect to the wheels.

18x8.5 +33 will require rolling and probably pulling fenders as well, especially with the +5mm spacer which would, if my math hasn't failed me, equate to 18x8.5 +28.

While it *might* look good and fit reasonably well without people in it, I would be extremely surprised if you didn't have some rubbing problems once there's weight in the car.

Ur absolutely right about the weight. It's fine when it's just front seating and some stuff in the back but with 3 passengers and a full trunk of cargo it does rub a little bit. Not a big deal though.
If I were to go lower then I would need to roll and pull slightly as well as stretch the tires. Right now 225 on 8.5 is a very mild stretch. Barely noticeable.

Keep a light load, watch out for bigger bumps/dips n stay away from hard cornering or your wheels (good time to use RIM/LIP) might hit the pavement....been there on similar set up.
