Default Papasmurf's Genpu Slick Set up

Well here it is... test fitted and all seems good. This set up is literally a doubleflusher copy besides skinny's on the back and some 5mm spacers.

Whats needed.

15x8 Vision Sports Stars, 5.5 backspacing
25mm Spacers
5mm spacers
26x8.5x15 slicks, the ones I have mounted are M/T's

First you want to put the 5mm spacers on, then put the 25mm's on top of the 5mm's. Bolt down accordingly. After that Mount the wheels/tires, check to see if you have any clearance issues. It might be different per car but even with 30mm of spacers I had to file down some parts of both my calipers, not much at all, but enough for it to clear. Some spots on the calipers have imperfections from the machining, which is what I filed down.

Enjoy the pics, let me know if you have questions.

Going to the track Nov. 10th.

30mm spacers, wow. Work on heating them up properly. You may also want to get the wash off spray so the vht and rubber doesn't perm stick to the paint.

Meh, its not a show car, if the rubber does stick.. it will just be hawt battle wounds.

Ya its 25mm adapter spacers with the built in studs on top of the 25mm, all the studs grab more then enough lug nut not to be worried about snapping... atleast I hope haha.

I came across these tires cheap.

Also I wanted to use a set up that was already proven.

And he got a big steal from me on the tires lol....I have the same ones, and once i burn these up, I will be trying different tires/sizes.

ArcticSpeed3, what size you run?? Im going with the 25x9 next....Seems to be the best size.

Here is the poke with 10" slicks. Click for moar bigger.

Look at the OP for PapaSmurf's poke with 8.5" slicks.

I used 25mm spacers, so I had to grind away more material from the calipers.

If a wheel with some more offset was used then a smaller spacer could be run and a wider tire right? when i get slicks they wont be used at the track just want to be able to do some sushi roll racing with traction.

I run 255/50/16 M/T ET Streets Drag Radials. I'm not sure how wide the wheels I have them on are.

I can turn, but I also don't have the plastic in the wheel wells anymore. So thats probley why.

I plan on getting 25/9.5/15 M/T true slicks on a light weight wheel.

I was pulling 1.7s all night with my car running like shit on those tires....if he does a good ass burn out on them, he should be able to get 1.6-1.7 60fts....the longer the burnout, it was better.....Youll see smuf when your at the track...takes a lot of tweaking of shit to get it down.

Mine are true M/T slicks also, just not as wide... I might try 9's on my next set up if these fail.

I plan on using 16's for ET streets for the actual street to feed my street racing needs.

ET Streets on the street hook pretty good. Only down fall is they don't last long on the street. Maybe 2500-3000 miles.

It took me about 6 months to put 3000 miles on my car, I drive it once a week if that, it's a dedicated race car. If I'm driving it, I'm driving it fast and pissing people off haha

Dude I haven't gone to Island since the first week of September -__- they cancelled once for "too much mud" in the paved parking area... Time to start going to Atco while I'm still in NJ...they stay open till like Mid Dec.
