So, as I am looking at getting a new 2010 MS3 and live in MA, I would be purchasing a dedicated set of winter rims/tires. While checking this out on a few different tire/wheel sites, some of the sites stated that I needed to purchase an aftermarket set of lug nuts for the wheels, as the stock ones would not work.........I have owned a ton of cars, but always kept the stock rims, so I have no idea if this is true or not. If I purchase aftermarket winter rims, will I need to spend the extra $$$ and buy different lug nuts? Any help or clarification would be appreciated.

My set of rims and tires came with lug nuts.....i thought they ususally did...

Hey I'm in NH here. I have dedicated set of wheels/tires and lugs for the winter. Depending on the type of wheels and whether the bolt hole as standard or tapered will decide if you will need different lug nuts for the wheels. I use the stock lugs on my stock wheels, but my 17: Kazera KZ-R's use a tapered spline drive lug for the wheels. I would go with a different set of lugs if you get a set of dedicated wheels/tire for the winter. |

I believe advanced auto parts sells lug nuts for our cars for 25 dollars, so it's not that expensive to get them.
