Default tire size for low offset grids

I am going with the 9.5" Grids ET38. It just looks so bad ass I cannot resist. Anybody recommend 225's or 235's?

both tires will be stretched

225 on a 9.5" wheel will look like shit, and i wouldn't suggest doing it

Youd have to run like 255s to make it looks somewhat normal on 9.5" wides. Use to run a set on my deuce 40. But what he said ^^^^^ if your going 9.5 the min i would recommend would be 245/255 which means no herra frush for you because tires are gunna poke out no matter what.

Im pretty sure you wouldnt be able to fit those in the ms3. At least, not if your slammed. If your only like 1-1.5 in from stock id say throw some 245s on that bitch and go to a shop that can set you up with a good drop and alignment. As long as your not going for VIP or hella flush, a shop can get those tires working for ya.

Function over form! at least when your trying to use crazy wheel setups

God I hate the stretched tire look, I just dont get why you would get such a wide wheel then put such little rubber on it.

I know of some gen1s doing it with lots of fender work, Gen2s seem to have more room in back too. But what the point, hes putting 225-235s, my suggestion would be to find a brick wall and drive strait into it.

did you just pull these sizes out of your ass? If you look at tire rack, they list appropriate rim sizes for each tire size.

Look, we are supposed to be a bit nicer to some of the members, so would you recommend he finds a brick wall and drives a bit sideways into it?

Did Finkle just make a joke at the expense of another member? You are learning the ways of the Darkside, young padwan.

OP, the only proper way to run those rims is with pulled fenders and 255's or a nice 3" lift and mud tires.

why would you get a wide wheel (more weight) just to run the next size bigger tire than stock....

i was going to put a 305 on a 9.5" wheel on my dakota.

I guess it looks pretty good.... I just DO NOT understand the point of getting a 9.5" rim only to put a stock width or smaller tire on it. Maybe im just not cool or something.....

@DwightS, that looks fine to me (the white car you posted), but are you sure those are 225's on a 9.5 inch wheel?

I have 235's on an 8.5 and they are a bit stretched.

BTW, if they aren't being mounted and balanced by the company you are buying from, try to find someone with a Hunter touchless machine to do the work.

You can be sure your brand new wheels will not get damaged in the mounting process with one of those machines.
