Default Alternate meth controller locations?

Those running a meth kit with an in-cabin controller: where do you have your controller mounted? Mine is currently on the steering column, almost right up against the gauge cluster. I am trying to figure out alternate spots to mount the controller, as it blocks my fuel gauge from time to time, prevents me from using the telescoping steering wheel, and glares when the sunlight hits the controller just right.

Also, would I be screwing up voltage readings from the controller wires to their corresponding parts by lengthening the existing wires with new soldered-on wire? Relocation is something I want to do, but fuck fishing the wires through the firewall again lol

I never really understood the need for an 'in-cabin' meth controller, as it's usually a pre-dialed in scenario based on tuning accommodations etc

Regardless, what about the cubby under the headlight tilt to the left of the steering column?

I dont remember what the Genpu dash looks like near the shifter but mine was mounted in the ash tray. It was nice because when i wasnt spraying meth for whatever reason or if i got pulled over i would just close the ash tray door and it was out of sight completely.

I put my controller in the glove box at the back section. Its a snow performance controller and I made a holder for the injection and low level leds so that I didn't have to drill my dashboard.

@rfinkle;

Or just ditch the controller and use a pressure switch. k.i.s.s.

well a pressure switch has its ups and downs as well. Im on a big turbo with a pressure switch but basically to need 400 whp worth of meth on an "on/off" scenario is a bit less than ideal.

For those wanting a 52mm in cabin controller such as this piece ill be picking up to replace my switch:

CMGS Progressive Controller (boost/vacuum)

It will fit in the vent on your drivers side where i currently have my boost gauge. (will be swapped out for 52mm controller)

Edit: Sorry, huge picture is huge -_-

I run just a boost switch. 400+ worth of meth too. D10 nozzle and 100% meth. You can't even feel it come on and I have it come on at about 11psi

I've been debating about getting a controller, but at this point, my meth system has been bullet proof for me, so why switch it up.

I have been contemplating switching my DO controller to the CMGS one, but I haven't determined if the new controller would be a direct replacement of the DO progressive controller, or if extra wiring would be required. The CMGS would look nice with a defroster vent gauge pod IMO

The CMGS can use the same amount of wires. But I have to warn you. The CMGS has alot going on in the back, and no way of disconnecting the wires from the back of the gauge. I had it in a DIN pod and didn't like having to mess with it. Make sure that you have ample wiring behind it. It also has a boost hose for those that want to feed it the old fashioned way.

Not too different from the DO controller then, right? It has wires that come out of the side of the unit, and it's fed through the firewall, so I'm thinking install difficulty will be more or less the same for both controllers

There are at least 2 times as many, and twice as thick.
