Default Fuel Pumps - Gen 1 & Gen 2 MS3&MS6

Are there differences between the gen 1 MS3 and MS6 fuel pumps and the gen 2 fuel pumps? Looking to purchase a 2nd one to upgrade and keep my stock pump as a back-up or for future mods.

I searched and did not find any threads with info on this.

Any help or direction is appreciated. Thanks.

You did not search... the pumps are the same but if you are doing any modding at all get an aftermarket pump

you are still neuberton status which is fine but seriously just look around, there are so many freaking resources here. Read this thread first:

Your first few mods should go: datalogger (Cobb AP) -> fuel pump internals (Autotech) -> and theennnnnn an intake. I know those first two are expensive but they will provide you a platform to either be badass with just a bolt-on or two, or go big.

Read both of them and must have over looked the fact that the pumps are the same. Planning on getting a new/2nd hand pump and upgrading the internals so I have the fuel pressure to build on for future mods. Datalogging will come after upgraded FP.

the pumps are the same, chances are you're never gonna need an EXTRA fuel pump

most failures happen if you do 100% e85 or if install your internals wrong.

are you ever going to bolt the one with stock internals back on? not likely if you're running one with upgraded internals.

save the money and put it towards the AP.
