Default -14.8 ltft at idle

2012 speed3. Installed cork sport sri+tip a month ago and got the ap yesterday. Just monitored and I idle at -14.8 ltft. Could have a leak in the intake somewhere or a dirty maf sensor? Suggestions?

It's not gonna blow your car up. But it's not right. You wanna be with 2 but Cobb says within absolute 8 is fine. Is that the only time you see that trim tho? Is the rest of the breakpoints good?

I'm just starting to read on the breakpoints so not familiar with them. All I know is that when I'm driving my afr is good, fuel pressure is good. I'll have to read up more about it. But it shouldn't be that screwed up with the maps.

You shouldn't blow your car; not on a 91 octane stage 1 map. Check for leaks, make sure connections are tight. If they are, drive it awhile and let the ecu "figure out" that there's been changes to your configuration.

Well i just put back my stock SRI + TIP. With the stock tune. Everything is A-1. I tried using the OTS Stage 1 with stock parts and my LTFT's are -9.4 at idle. So i probably did have everything installed properly. As soon as i use the OTS cobb maps my LTFT go off. So i'm gona keep my stock parts and put stage 1. I'll trial and error to MAF Cal that stage. Once i get the hang of it i'll throw on the sri and tip again. Where i live, i don't know of any shops that tune imports....so i have to learn for myself.

Could also be a lose connection on idle but as soon as you are within boost the connection seals itself up. Balloon effect so to speak. I would double triple check all hoses you fucked with and those that you didn't just to be sure.

probably sent from a freight train at work

When i took everything off, all tubes were really tightly fitted and clamped. And like i say, i'm on all stock now and the numbers are all right on. As soon as i put the stock stage 1 map, the ltft's are off.

Every time I flash a new map my ECU reads some ungodly high number, drive the car a bit and allow the trims to be learned.

Yeah...i'm gona go for a drive tonight with just the Stage 1 map and see what happens.

Do you usually have to play around with the maf cal alot? Or does everything kinda settle down on it's own after a while?

My LTFT was around -12 before I got my AP, that was with a Cobb SRI (it came with the car). It drove fine for a long time like that, like 80k miles. When I got the AP I flashed the map and after a few days I saw my LTFT was much closer to 0.

Awsome! So basically, by using the OTS cobb maps, after putting abit of mileage on the map, the ECU should learn and set itself based on the values cobb have in the map? Cause when i had my SRI+TIP without the ap, the car felt like something was missing....i was still on stock tune. It was abit jerky and stuff. But when i installed the appropriate cobb map the car felt like new. It had alot smoother throttle response. But i only drove probably like 20 or 30km's and noticed the LTFT which made me freak.....the reason i went back to stock parts. So i'm gona try the Stage 1 stock tune for a few days to see if that levels out. If it does, i will put back my SRI and TIP. Fuel pump has to be next though...suprisingly i was still holding 1650 to 1700psi on WOT.

Give it 50 miles or so. Or 80 km.

Yeah read up, but as far as MAF calibration is concerned, try the OTS map first and see how close it gets you. Sometimes it's really close. At least with your fuel trims. Give it 80 km and see how they are.
