Default Timing Chain Service Interval

I got a strange email from my dealership the other day:

"Our records indicate that your vehicle may have reached or exceeded its recommended interval to have its engine timing belt replaced. We strongly suggest you come in and have this service performed soon, as your vehicle’s engine could suffer severe internal damage should the timing belt break or jump timing."

I couldn't actually find what Mazda specifies as the timing chain replacement interval, but I am assuming it is somewhere around the valve clearance service (@75,000 miles) I am at 20,000 miles.

Did anyone else receive something like this?

Chain lasts for a long time and are much durable than belt, they usually last the life of the vehicle...

Ya this seems like maybe something bugged on their end. Not only do you not service chains unless problem, but the lowest milage belt I've changed is 60k. Just ignore it, save it as proof that mazder stealerships are dumb.

sent from my phone because computers scare me.

I thought this was their nice way of telling me to come in for the VVT & TC Extended warranty. I wonder what car they think I have?

Did you change it because something went wrong or just preventative maintenance? I'm just asking because mine is at about 52k right now

Just a little search and you’ll find out how to check it.

When to check timing chain tension?

Do some research instead of reviving 6 year old thread to ask a question to a user that hasn't been active in 4 years....

Someone turn on the feature that prevents noobs from posting until they've shown proficiency in searching.

My luck, I'll ask as dumb ass question tomorrow and get flamed.
