I wish I had made a copy of it, I will try to get one when I go back in. It was just a printout they showed me from the Mazda Dealer Portal website (PiKA knows the one if he works at the dealer . The steps consisted of jacking the seat up as high as it would go- which I didn't understand since step two was removing the seat. Then some sort of check of the rails and then applying the grease and reinstalling, so it was only like eight steps total including the "verify squeak is gone and customer is pleased" part lol.

Wow! I didn't even catch that; stupid iPhone LOL. I would have thought I knew I wanted to type "linky", not "kinky"

Please post the TSB number, or a link to the .pdf file to the actual TSB. My driver seat meaks the squeak, and sometimes makes a plastic snap/pop noise from the seat or center console when taking off or stopping.

So annoying.

They were shocked to see this as I was like . They brushed off all the corrosion and tightened and lubricated all the joints and bolts. They went for a test drive and the sound still continued. They put in a order to get a whole new drivers seat in by next week so it can be installed. Mean while I have to drive around with the squeaky rusted seat for another week. Make sure to take your car in if it makes a squeaky sound around your seat area. It could be rusted.
try changing your avatar and maybe your seats will stop squeaking.

Thumbs up

TSB complete! Sorry I was so excited I forgot to ask for a copy of it to share! However- seat is completely squeakless and feels much more solid (I guess whatever was wrong, it had some play in the seat where it felt a little loose) I encourage whoever is having it to have it taken to the dealer and they did it in an hour.

I'm HAPPY!

yeah I had my dealer fix this problem about a month ago. After 5 hours of me waiting for them to repeatidly take it apart and the seat back together (as well as a lunch break) it was fixed and I haven't had an issue since. I am 230lbs and it was squeeking like crazy, but apparently they just oiled and lubed certain moving parts and tightened others.

With all the time I will theoretically be spending waiting for the maintenance workers to correct my seat issues, I can also badger them with inquires of weather installing a K&N CAI will void my warranty...

lawlz @ voiding warranties.

look up Magnussin Morris Warranty Act...or search the forum about "voided" warranties.
