anyone and everyone with walkie talkies NEEDS to bring them if you are planning on attending the cruise Sunday!! It is very important we have these because it helps relay road hazards to the end of the line.

Those of you not attending the Sunday cruise but would be courteous enough to lend a set to us, it would be greatly appreciated!

are there any locals who can recommend some hotels in a safe spot of town?

a good bet is probably some place along I 35 on the Northeast side of SA. Will be a very short and easy drive to the saturday activities and a good location connecting to a lot of major roads etc

I will definitely meet up on Saturday, but I'll be headed to Port Aransas Saturday or Sunday evening. Still undecided, sometimes the best vacations are totally unplanned.

Chances are, I'll be staying in NE San Antonio with family Friday, possibly Saturday too.

great!! I will be skipping the saturday morning activities unfortunately, to clean up my car (if you've followed my last few posts...dipstick blew off and oil everywhere in my engine bay), and some other stuff i need to check up on it.

We are planning to meet at a Wal-Mart (location undecided at this point) around 7pm to grab some snacks, drinks, and whatnot before hitting the road.
I'll have a walkie, don't forget to bring 'em if you have 'em.

I won't be able to make it to the morning activities (Saturday)... I need to get some stuff done on my car, period, and also get an alignment if I am going to go on the cruise on Sunday.

i definitely had a great time. that was a lot of driving during the 27hrs i was away from home. i just hope next time, everything is a bit more organized.
