I'll be using the $150 GC I won at last years meet for just this. Torn between intake and DP.

Maybe a bunch of us get a little dinner before returning home?

dubunderpar 04-01-2012 06:41 PM

That's what I'm thinking, I am heading down early in the morning and back after dinner.

NJSPEED3 04-01-2012 06:43 PM

That would be one super-sized little dinner.

Domino81 04-01-2012 07:04 PM

How about here?

Sounds good to me, who's making the reservation for 20+?

Burnt meat after the meat sounds like a win I'm in.

Domino81 04-01-2012 07:54 PM

Let's fucking do it!

daafisch 04-01-2012 09:20 PM

I've been to Billy Joe's. It's pretty good BBQ, it's also pretty big and right on the river.

Meh....Its ok, ribs are on par with chilli's, but a nice location. You do have to drive through the ghetto to get to it. If you guys go here I would DEFINITELY make a reservation. There's a big parking lot with a clear shot of the river next to it too. Good photo op.

Domino81 04-02-2012 06:49 AM

1st thing we'd have to do is get a pretty solid idea of how many people are coming.

Grumpyjap 04-02-2012 06:51 AM

I wish I could join you guys, but I'll be stuck cleaning up....blah

Domino81 04-02-2012 06:57 AM

Then we'll need to clean up with you. How long does it take? And we'll make reservations for a certain amount of time after the meat. Like, say, 6?

Grumpyjap 04-02-2012 06:59 AM

I'm usually there till around 7 cleaning up. Plus the people that come from far away want pics of their car in front of the building. etc. There's also requests for studio pictures in my studio in the parking garage....

Domino81 04-02-2012 07:01 AM

You're not making this easy.

Grumpyjap 04-02-2012 07:13 AM

YOU GUYS don't make it easy on me lol

Domino81 04-02-2012 07:28 AM

It seems crazy to me that the person responsible for organizing the meet can't attend the dinner after. Does anyone have a problem with pushing the reservation back to 7? Storm? Think you can make that happen? Everyone who chooses to eat can stay behind and help. Or not. Then you can photograph all the cars and by 7 all of your natural light is gone anyway. Maybe 7:30. I'm trying to accommodate everyone. Though I've learned from organizing meets in the past you can't always please everyone.

Grumpyjap 04-02-2012 07:40 AM

Ehh...It's all good you don;t have to reschedule. I do this meet for you guys so have fun and don't worry about anything...
I do need new tires though.....just saying lol. 235/40/18......lol

Nator forces unite! I will assemble the troops to help you in any way we can Storm! Time to give back fellers. Storm will not ask for help, so we will have to force the issue!

I REALLY need help with parking........ Last year it kind of fell apart.

Domino81 04-02-2012 08:19 AM

I'd help out. Problem is I don't know what time I'll be there v.s. what time you need me there. Etc. I plan to leave my house around 7, given the wife says about 3 hours since she used to live there. Puts me there around 10. And we're not re-scheduling anything, because nothing has been officially scheduled.
