Lower sales guy from Marriott calls back to go over details with me - still no quote but he will try to get close to where we had it last year. Now, I also had asked about having the parking area we used last year reserved for us on prior calls, ya know, if they could. So he tells me the city is moving Rockville Pike in on their parking area and they are planning to start building a parking garage this year. He was going to look in on the start date but I know with construction comes lots of dust so ... something to think about.
Now, Hilton down the street gave me a quote right up front. They will block 25 rooms off up front and will add more if and when those fill up. She wants $95 per night and nce if you need a rollaway bed for your room. She would not waive the parking fee but did reduce it to $8 from $15. Was parking free at Marriott last year? I don't remember.
She also recommended the Matchbox restaurant across the street or Hooters. Matchbox she says has good food and great bartenders. Hotel bar closes at 11PM and we would have to keep the noise down in the Atrium as some of the rooms face in (this mean you Rokusek;) As for chilling in the parking garage, don't go crazy, keep it tidy and it should be fine. Once I get the quote and construction info on Marriott, I will post up the thread and ask people to vote on which hotel they would prefer before pulling the trigger. | As stated before, I will not be going crazy this year... as my VW would probly have a mental breakdown of the carnage to follow and I cant have that.
But the Miata might be driven as well... idk... Still thinking. Quote:

Marriott says $94 but no mention of the parking fee. I called and left a message.
Now, is there any particular reason we anted to stay in North Bethesda? Someone did mention to me that none of these hotels are all that great and I have to agree. I travel for work and stay in 2-5 hotels per month so I'd say I have experience here. The problem I have here is that the closer you get to DC, the smaller the parking options become. With as many cars as we have, this is a big concern. The further away we go from DC, the less these hotels have to offer. I stayed at the DC Renaissance in October and it was decent but it was $300 /night and they have valet parking only. So, let me know what you guys really want, what you want to pay and I will nail something down.
Also, I've been a bit slow on all this but its due to illness so I hope you all understand. | FUCK VALET PARKING!!!! I dont give a shit if im riding a fucking moped some chode licking ball groping zit popping faggot isnt touching it.
Otherwise, Anything under 150 is good in my book, HOWEVER... it is best stated below---VVV Quote:

Tommy; I would prefer the hotel to just be clean, cheaper is better because anything over $140/night would be a horrendous dent in my (and many other people's) budget. | With more people than ever talking about traveling we absolutely need the best price possible with the most parking in a decent hotel.
I personally dont care about location either, and I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switing to VW.
