This, like I said before, after thinking long and hard about this entire situation because Tommy and I were disappointed with what happened at the track yesterday as well as the not so kind words said about how the event was organized. If you were truly disappointed at how it was handled it would be best to private message the organizer them self instead of trying to bash them in public in my opinion. It just seems a lot more respectful after everything they put into pulling this off (which is no easy task) I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to make everyone happy, there will always be a few who feel they got jipped or ripped off. For the most part this weekend went smoothly, the hotel was fantastic, the dyno day was great, dinner was incredible. The track completely screwed us as they had on the calender that the only two rentals would be us and the southern bracket racing. To our knowledge the entire time leading up the the track event, no one else would be on the track. Clearly that was not the case and we had no control over that. Yes the raffle was not ideal but it worked. It wasn't easy trying to get everyone's attention over the noise from the track as well as the mingling among the crowd. I feel as this entire weekend was successful, I saw NATOR be reborn to what it once was. I saw groups that had major beef throw that aside to help a fellow member when their car went down regardless of that members association. I saw people reunite with family as well as add new faces to their family. There were drunken shenanigans as well as stories being told in the parking lot of the hotel. There was fail and there was success. It was an incredible weekend in my opinion. It was no easy task taking on such a large event and like Tommy said please be our guest to take over one year if you weren't happy with the way it was put together. Even through all the countless hours Tommy and I put into planning this and all the hours of wanting to pull my hair out trying to get everything perfect, it was entirely worth it. I am sorry to those of you who feel they got jipped or those of you who did not enjoy yourself.

Again like Tommy said, him and I stayed until late and everyone was gone so we could personally talk to the owners again and express our disappointment with the way things were handled yesterday. There isn't much more to say other than I very much enjoyed seeing everyone, meeting people, and putting faces to forum names. To me, this weekend screamed NATOR. We opened our house to multiple people as they traveled in from all over, as we have done every year since this event was born. We had an incredible time and I can not express that enough. I love you crazy people.

I never bashed anyone if this is pointed to me. I respectively commented my disappointment on this thread, as people want to make sure they are heard. No need for a PM. I like to think MSF is for the most part an open door policy.

I think you guys did great. But moving forward we need to recognize what happened, and take actions to proactively ensure next meets are better. If this means we don't utilize Mason Dixon for future meets because they did not fill their obligations, ok then.

If you can't take a step back and look at what went wrong and what went right then nothing will get better.

Kim@CorkSport 04-14-2014 09:41 AM

Thank you to all who put this together, I speak for everyone from CorkSport who was in attendance when I say that we had a BLAST!!! Getting to know everyone, put names to faces (and other body parts lol... BEWBS)... Couldn't have asked for a better time, other than if we had had MORE TIME.

We are excited that some ideas for improvement were passed our way, as well as to see the loyalty and community that Nator has! Needless to say that we're looking forward to seeing these relationships grow as time goes on.

We were welcomed with open arms (at least as soon as everyone realized who we were), and look forward to many many more trips in the future to support all that you people bring to the Mazda Community!!

All my Love,

Kim

Well, I can't say much more than @Kim@CorkSport; already said, but thanks.

I wish we could have had more time. I wish we could have stayed to watch some record setting runs! Next year we hopefully can plan our time a little better. Nonetheless it was AWESOME.

I have about 500 photos from the weekend, they will soon be up and posted for all. Several videos of early runs, and lots of shots of all your cars.

Thank you to those that planned this @The Panda; @MissVitesse6; we really really appreciate it.

faeker 04-14-2014 09:58 AM

It was a pleasure to meet the voices from corks port that I've talked to recently about.....stuff. overall the day was cool. Record runs, meeting people I've only typed to, and seeing some people I haven't seen in a long time. Outside of the tracks shenanigans it was great. To top it off....I got nailed with 2100 dollars worth of fraudulent charges via ATM card. Yeah, that sucked. Anyone who used the ATM at the sheetz down the road should check their shit out. I only suggest this because my credit Union said that bit waslost likely the source of my stolen number.

now with three times the hate

And I took it up with the owner of the track during the day I did not leave the track until 8pm because I was expressing my disappointment in their management as it was booked for just us and sbra not bike and test and tune...

If i understand what you are saying correctly, tommy was simply saying that you got way more than just 3-4 passes on the track, especially towards the end of the day. He wasnt calling you ouy in a negative way, just using your amount of passes as a reference point for what happened. :)

Thanks again to everyone who made this weekend what it was. Tommy and shay did everything in their power to create the best weekend possible, and i think they did just that.

Nights. Was certainly great getting shitfaced with all of you. Had a blast last night too with NNY and Nator New England. Personally, I liked seeing the bracket racers as well but I can understand some of the frustration the drivers here had. I say lessons learned for the future and lets just move on. @Rokusek; I here VA Beach for next year?

A big thank you to @The Panda;, @MissVitesse6;, and @Tommy; for organizing. So glad I could be a part of it, even if I was only at the track.

I had a blast, it's always great to put faces to usernames (even if I'm always shocked at what people look like and what their personalities are like after only interacting on the forum). (I do sort of wish we could have had nametags of some kind, however).

I've got hundreds of pictures and video which will go up sometime this week in the picture thread.

Woke up Friday no work! Drove an hour to Nator NC HQ, left from there convoyed with other Nators from NC to DC. Stopped for gas. Lost a car due to failure. Ate gas station food. Got sick to my stomach. Arrived at hotel on saw a ton of PU's and Gen 1's. Wished I would have drove the 6 instead of the PU. Checked into room, got some drank from the bar and paid out the ass. Meet Nators from all over and made a ruckus on the patio. Fakin Bakin cop tried to put a hush on our good time. @Tommy; handled some bitzness and we begin to drank some more. Meet tons of VA, NJ, NY and the Massholes! Got worse than white girl wasted, more like crackhead wasted. Wished I would have eaten, drank some more of @Tommy; special drink. Went to room got laid, crashed like a boss! Woke up to NC Nator telling me that they are leaving to go to Breakfast and Dyno. Head felt like someone dropped a nuke on it. Went to IHOP bought breakfast and one smell and I bought puked. Not a single bite and tossed it. Went to Dyno where my boy @SBMS316; put down some nice numbers. Waited for wristbands and shirts, thought I was going to die. Left dyno for hotel took an hour nap before dinner (glad I did), rode with the boss @mzr0818; to Buca. Took pics of the cars in the parking lot, great shot! Went to dinner and said HEYYYYYYYY a few times and BOOOOOOOOOBBBBS a lot more. Talk and met guys for the first time I've been reading and using their info since 2010 @MATT DAMOND;. Though I would die from starving like a 3rd world child. Ate Bucca like I never had before, left and when to Beer store and got ripped of there. Back to hotel, went to mini Bachelor party and had a few drinks. Fell asleep way to early on Saturday, Got up on Sunday to go to drag strip, checked out of hotel. Brought stuff to my boy @CrawlingMS3; that he forgot in the room. Went to strip and soon as I got there got yelled at to get some Ice for damn TMIC @omgvance; before drag. Took out the entire interior of his PU so he could post a 13. Saw a bunny drive a 6 like a boss @MissVitesse6*; saw another 6 go down. Ate some pizza, bought some raffle tickets got a redneck sun tan. Said my goodbyes bought some water from @phillyb; and started the 6 hour trip hour. Stopped at Taco Bell, mistake one. Wife threaten to divorce me from the aftermath in the car. Split up at our exit from the canavan and drove home solo. Got sleepy eyed and let the wife took over the last leg. Girl drives like a MSF bunny in her own right. Got home uploaded video of strip runs for my boys @Miltron;. Looked at bank account and didn't like how much money was missing. Went to sleep, got up late for work. Logged on MSF to see event bashing from backseat drivers. Big event and lots of people to please you give it a try. Wanted to send a huge thank you to @The Panda; and @MissVitesse6; and all of Nator VA and MD for their hospitality. To sum things up this is what will become of this meat for me. One the wife wants a MSF name now and a bunny tag she also wants and exhaust for the PU. Fn' Ricer. Two I realized how old I am and not to drink like college. Three must plan and budget for EPIC Midwest. Damn the miles are the cars is going to start piling up.

I'm going to try and make an epic movie/slideshow with some of the best photos and videos from the weekend.

If you have pics/vids you want me to include, PM me.

(I'd like to keep it SFW, and will be focusing on dyno/track, but pics/vids of convoys or of people hanging out are, of course, definitely welcome. Advice for music/tracks is also appreciated, but remember that it should, ideally, by open-source stuff or songs that YouTube can provide under license.)

Good times, good food, good drinks, good people.

Hope everyone got home safe. Also, if you hear what sounds like a jet coming up behind you on the highway when youre cruising, its probably a 9-second Evo driven by @doubleflusher;

My god that thing sounds insane.

Guys, I had a fantastic time!

It was fantastic to see all the guys that have been coming to this since it's inception, and equally important to see all the other chapters come out and experience the meet with us. I was finally able to meet the New England, North Carolina, and the Florida guys.

Great Event!
Great People!
Great Food!

This weekend, as the the other events in the past, was another one for the books. It was an absolute blast and our organizers kicked some serious ass getting everything together.

Seeing all my friends and meeting new ones is why I attend these things. So much love for everyone!!

On a more personal note I wanna thank all of you that took the time and said kind words about my weight loss journey thus far. The praise was so humbling and will keep me motivated to reach my goals and stay in shape, so thank all of you so much!!
