Alrighty we've had a lot of changes for this meet so i wanted to post one last change!

A reservation is made for the park shelter from 11-3 on 7/24. After that, it is optional, but i am working with Gateway International Raceway to get them to rope us off an area for 80 or so cars and to give us a group rate on spectator tickets.

IMPORTANT
I want to get a count of who is going so i can work out a better group rate with gateway. Post here and tell me how many Spectator or racing (drag) tickets you will need, yes, even if you are on the list on the other thread.

If you plan on being hungry, bring food, if you plan on being thirsty, bring drink. Hopefully everyone shares nicely and if you plan to bring something for us to all use, a signup list to organize it would make life easier.

Charcoal, plates, etc... you all know the drill.

bump date has been locked in with forest park for the 24th of july!

This is going to be a great time and being centrally located I hope many of you come out. I'd really like to meet all the great folks that have supported me and see all the great cars I've read so much about.

basically we just need help through donations right now to make this happen...forest park wants the rental fee plus the deposit upfront, the deposit is 500 (we will get back if we dont fuck anything up) and the rental i think was like 700 or something...anyway i think the donations are up to like 200

haha, no worries. If I absolutely have to, I could set it up with the steedspeed mani I have. It's a totally different fittment though and requires me to cut some studs, so I'm somewhat hesitant. I won't start getting pissed until I'm done with everything else I need to do first (ie, alternator, wires, gauge, belt, oil/water lines, relocating some stock components, ect...).

I just got an email that they will be shipping the end of tghis week or the begining of next week. Not what I hoped, but it's fine. I got the HO alternator in place today, modified and hooked up my oil feed line, and got 3 of the big 5 wired up. I also determined that in order to run an open element filter right on the turbo, I would have to relocate my brake fluid resevoir. So I've decided to clamp a screen onto the turbo inlet until said issue can be addressed. Or I might just order a horn-inlet for it :) Or a foam filter might work I suppose. Still gotta modify/install the oil drain line, make one of the water lines that I lost, hook up both water lines, run the new power wire for my alt., run a new power wire for my fuse box, hook up my egt gauge, charge/install my battery, all before I gotta worry about having that manifold. And if I get bored, I can install the jbarone shift plate I already received :) Then I have a whole 'nother list of shit to do after the manifold gets here. lol

donations are encouraged so that we can have a good venue, as of right now we are around $600 in the donations and we need $1200 for the forest park venue, which would be ideal. If not i am looking into other local parks that are cheaper but just as nice.

Creve Coeur Corporate Picnic Sites are located in the upper level Creve Coeur County Park off Dorsett Road. The purpose of Corporate Picnic Sites is to provide and manage organized picnics tailored to larger organizations for the benefit of their employees. The Department of Parks and Recreation will coordinate with corporations to provide the desired recreational opportunities and to monitor the events to insure their success. ok ladies, finally got a call back from diane at creve couer park, she said that corporate site 2 is open for july 24th, she wasnt sure if it will be as good as site 1 for a "car show" because the parking lot is far away from the actual picnic site itself. Site 1 is going to be open on july 10th if we want it.
She recommended i come out and take a look at both sites a decide which would be best so i will this weekend.

I will work at coming. I have a friend in the area I can stay with. It will be nice to have a long drive. I need more details with dates though.

Oh and if you rotate that and look to the left, we have those 3 lots for overflow, plus we can park people in front of the building and not block the road. easily room for 100 vehicles or more.

could i possibly get any more details as far as gateway goes? and the various tickets, i have never been... thanks!

If you spectate, you just pull in and park your car and you can walk around...there's usually like some drifting events, music, food, beer, etc., and of course you can watch the drag racing. If you decide to race, it's basically just an open drag strip, so you get your car Tech'd in, then go wait in line for your turn to run the 1/4. Usually you can run more than once.

Is there a cost for the racing tickets? I might be able to make it and if I can I would like to take the car out to the strip too

Last time I went for Midnight Madness (similar to what we're going to I believe), it was 25 to race, 15 for spectators. I think Brian is trying to work something out with Gateway to save us some money if we have a big group of people come.

It beats getting a ticket trying to get a 1/4 mile time with my AP on the streets haha not a bad deal

What time does the racing start? I may be interested in racing, or even spectating, but don't know yet. Does this go all night, like the midnight madness thing they do at gateway?

It's just during the day..I think it's a little different than midnight madness, more of a "shootout" I think it may be kinda like a competition..pinks all out style...I'm not really that sure though. They don't have any info about it on the website.

hahahaha look again...... I had mine out there too. It was next to sellers car. The reason my car is not well defined in the pics is cause I didn't park in the handy crapped spot like someone I know..... bwahahahahha.... btw I hope the next time I see you I remember to bring the badges. send me a text or a pm letting me know when we can meet up so I can give you those.
