Also I'm not trying to make excuses for any of them but a lot of them live in the middle of the state and are probably looking at a solid 5-6 hour drive there.

I did the same last year too Mike. I'm not trying to make excuses. I'm just saying that people don't always have funds for a hotel. I know I probably wouldn't if I were home. Again no excuses and to be honest I am really disapointed in PA as of late.

But it is an excuse Don because Nator DC could have easily had the event down near them, but instead decided to make it in a more neutral area for all local chapters.

Let's look at it this way, if 80% of Nator PA can make the pedobear meet every month, I don't see why they can't make it to NW. The drive from the pizza place down to DE isn't more than an hour tops. If most can make that meet every month what's an extra hour drive?

Don the issue here is the entire chapter isn't in sync which ist the situation with NY.

To have a strong chapter you need good leaders that push the guys to do things regardless of what is going on. Drew and I no longer delegate most of the smaller events we have, because the newer guys are enthusiastic enough to take over and strive to do even better than we have in the past.


Having many small events locally help a ton with strengthening bonds. Weekly meets in different parts of your state, monthly install days, dinners etc.

Most importantly though like I said is having a strong and respected leader.

bonds suck in hudson valley, and nyc is funky at the moment.

Ill go if someone wants to adopt me for the day.

We can take you and anyone from ny thats would like to come out here.

Lets not forget what Nator has done recently with sandy for the tristate area, coming to main events like this is the only way we can have nator supporting us. Having entire chapters suddenly losing interest on an event like this worries me, as it should all of us.
