For those that haven't taken a look yet. Here is a link to the Lums Pond State Park Map.

the main entrance is on the North side of the park. Picnic area 1, where our spot is reserved, is by the large parking lot (right at the bend in the lake).

There are multiple trails. The blue and green trails are for hiking and biking. The yellow trail around the lake is for hiking only.

Fishing is permitted in the lake except in marked prohibited areas.

There is also a Go Ape section pretty close to us. That is a series of zip lines and rope bridges that span several trees. I don't know if there is any cost involved with this.

To the North East you will see the un-leashed dog area for those bringing the four-legged family memebers. Again, where our area is all pets are supposed to be on a leash, and obviously owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

A little back story. January 2011 he spent 100 days in the hospital for acute pancreatitis; a condition usually brought on by alcohol consumption, however, he does not drink. He was very ill and was literally on his death bed.

Last night I came home from work and he told me he was having symptoms similar to January 2011. He did not want to go to the hospital. My mother was on a plane coming back from a business trip in Chicago or else she would have had him there already. Well, he started to feel a bit better and then at 2:50 this morning, she drove him to the ER.

CT Scans and a chest X-Ray show a partial bowel obstruction and fluid build-up in his abdomen. He should be OK, however, I need to be home should anything happen.

Ok, enough about my situation. I was looking forward to meeting some people I have never met.

Awesome time yesterday, even though I started the day off tires as hell.

We were the only ones dumb enough to book a room at the HOJO.

Fucking fuck that place was a dump.

The sheets had fucking blood on them and bugs running through the room.

We ended up driving back home, and racing a familiar worked up M Coupe, but that's a story for another time.
