Dammit! If I didn't have to work that day I would totally be down to roll up there. I'm going to be up in that area later in the month anyway, I would just have made a month-long trip up there haha. But unfortunately I can't afford to roll up for this, then back down for my girlfriend's graduation from grad school, then back up for all the other stuff I had planned. Oh well.

I spent 5 years in the navy and there is no way you can tell me you cant get a request chit and swap duty days with someone else... all these big meets coming up with all the time that has been given in advance you... Mauro... There is no excuse... unless you are getting deployed or family shit comes up or you truly cant afford to make it... Duty is not an excuse if your in the navy... I love you bro... but I know you can get duty swapps.. give them plenty of notice and ummm... i think 3 months is WAAAYYY more than enough time to say hey... i need these days off..

I no longer work there, I left back in November. I handed in my resignation on a Monday and the following Thursday the canceled the show. I already sourced another location of the meet, but I figured I would have 1 more go at the OCC meet.

i said that because we are going from a 6 duty section to 4.
so there is no way to tell which duty section i'm going to be on so therefore i cant swap with someone that may or may not be on my same section. im already taking leave for the mnm and then the week right after im going to miami to see my sister's graduation.
being so far ahead- thats why my leave chit for the mnm has been put on hold by the command. i will check on it again tomorrow.
but i shall notify you guys if i can go or not. if i cant go, an explanation will come right after. now, if i can.. well this shall be another fun trip.
