I was just able to get on with my phone.

EVO on sprint.

JBR 05-31-2011 04:31 PM

Still does not work for me on my Sprint EVO.

JBR 05-31-2011 05:34 PM

On the phone with godaddy now, waiting to be blown off.

JBR 05-31-2011 05:53 PM

Looking at hosting server now. The tech said the tests he has run from various locations around the world show a 12% failure rate. Not good.

Escalating to advanced hosting support now.

Well bad that it's failing that much... Good that it's actually getting taken care of

JBR 05-31-2011 06:09 PM

Yes it is.

So I sent the traces and they are all failing at the ISP's. So unfortunately they are not helpful. They have run tests from various locations and do see the failures occurring. The tech said it looks like issues with the http service on the server. Advanced hosting support has the ticket and this should be resolved in 72 hours. We'll see.

Keep trying folks and mad thanks for all the help!!

Jamie

Interesting, i can't get to your site from both my work computers or my iphone (at&t) or my work blackberry (verizon)

I have dig installed on my windows box. Here are some results.

I don't think it's a dns issue. Might be http/server related on go daddy's side like you said

jwilkins88 06-01-2011 08:40 AM

Yeah... We've ruled out DNS

JBR 06-01-2011 08:49 AM

I'm back on the phone with godaddy after receiving the "Sorry we can not duplicate the issue" e-mail from advanced hosting support. The guy I spoke to yesterday was able to.

I'm getting really pissed off now. The last thing I have time to deal with is this.

JBR 06-01-2011 09:01 AM

godaddy told me to go fuck myself and that it's not there problem.

They told me to get with the ISP that cannot connect.

So can anyone that is having a problem connecting call there ISP and work with them?
I will make it worth your while.

Thanks,
Jamie

Jake5713 06-01-2011 09:09 AM

What would you like me to call and tell them and what's the number

I don't know who your internet provider is but that is who you would need to call. You would need to explain to the provider that you can not connect to the site but others can.

That's all I know right now. I'm on the phone with my provider (Sprint) now waiting to get told to fuck off. I am so pissed!

jwilkins88 06-01-2011 10:00 AM

Damn dude... I really wish I could reproduce this so I could help out more.

Jake5713 06-01-2011 11:16 AM

Ok gotcha

JBR 06-01-2011 11:49 AM

Switching site from Windows to Linux and created a new domain. We'll see.

bertrand_CX_7 06-01-2011 12:48 PM

^^^^^^ Goodo move, windows = POS :biglaugh:

Hey men BTW, I'll need an OCC kit for my Genpu. Will ping you

JBR 06-01-2011 01:27 PM

OK....

I need EVERYBODY that COULD NOT connect to try it now and report back.

As always.... Thank You Very Much for the help!!

robertof 06-01-2011 01:44 PM

I can connect to the main site but none of the links work

JBR 06-01-2011 02:02 PM

What happens? Everything except the support section is working for me.

robertof 06-01-2011 02:08 PM

is working now, except the support section

triphop631 06-01-2011 02:50 PM

triphop631 06-01-2011 02:59 PM

Same for me.

Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

jroc 06-01-2011 03:10 PM

works fine on my phone droidx.

I know 4 different techs that work at the godaddy centers in phoenix. Ill get in contact with them right now. 3 work days the other is night.

phahengpro 06-01-2011 03:41 PM

I haven't been able to get on at all for several days. This morning was the same. This afternoon I can get on when I Google James Barone Racing. I can't get into the white gen1 links. I can get to the parts using the red links and get the the gen1 stuff that way. The link that you put up earlier didn't work for me either. It is better than it was.

I'm waiting for the round knobs to come out.

Cataphract_40 06-01-2011 05:40 PM

INEXPLICABLY,

the site now works for me.

j/k, I read the above posts. Site's working for me now!

I get a 404 if you click (from the main index) MAZDASPEED3 -> Gen 1.

Otherwise, other links work.

jroc 06-01-2011 06:26 PM

Not sure if youve solved it yet, but i got this response back from my friend tim:

Jay, When I goto the site it comes up. Can you have the people that cant view it send him a traceroute and try to ping the domain. Also have them clear cache and cookies off browser and router. Send screen shot of both the page they see, traceroute, and ping.

Im not computer saavy, not sure if some of you have done it yet? Looks like yes?

jroc 06-01-2011 06:55 PM

He ran it from 66 different locations from all around the world, and all were ok. Looks like you got it fixed?

JBR 06-01-2011 07:04 PM

All fixed now. All I did was switch from windows hosting to Linux hosting. It's still running with Godaddy so I'm pretty pissed they totally blew me off.

The site is going through a complete ground up redesign and should be awesome in a few weeks.

Thanks everybody for the help.

JBR 06-02-2011 06:07 AM

So everything should be working now. There was multiple permissions issues that had to be dealt with as a result of moving over to Linux.

I really appreciate how you all came together to help out; it really means a lot to me.

Thanks!!
Jamie

When the new site is up I should be able to do discounts codes and we'll do something then.

Thanks,

GoDaddy hosting has gone to shit. I know plenty of people that have moved their hosting to other providers because of situations just like this.

I am very happy that the site is now working on the Linux box (and I agree Linux hosting is better) but the crappiest Windows box around could host your current site with no issues. It's just basic html. I would still point my finger at GoDaddy for all of your headaches.

JBR 06-06-2011 10:24 AM

Here's a preview of the new site; home page only.
