JBR Camber arm failure of earlier version @jbarone; This could quite easily kill someone. Even SURE's failed at the expected weak point. This I right in the, "strongest" part of yours. Installer error, again? http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...951D9A0428.png |
The best part is no one died. The second best part? It failed RIGHT AT THE LOGO!!!! |
Guess the FEA model didn't account for the reduced cross-sectional area across the logo cutout... |
Oh, and all those notifications? Other people who JBR make crappy parts mentioning me to this fail, because they know I won't have a problem speaking out about it. The voice of many. |
inb4 installation error |
I feel like that is the last place id put the logo cutout? But im no engineer, so i could be completely wrong.. |
Oh my Luuurd... did an angry unicorn pee all over that thing? It looks like it took a beating! Having just recently installed these on my car, I think I know why they broke that way. I feel like I'm about to watch two angry irish men from 1890 fight to the death. |
You're right Matt, you're not an engineer. Neither is JBR. |
It looks like the weak point is where "JBR" is punched; CorkSport had a similar problem with the discontinued MS6 short shifter where some people reported bending the shifter right where "CS" was punched. |

Is there a reason this is in the drama club section and not the vendor section? Has the owner of above mentioned arms contacted JBR at this point? That's a pretty epic fail. |
Thanks for the tag. We're not pleased to see this by any means and we're grateful no one was hurt. No not installer error. This arm was from one of our initial runs. When we discovered the logo was a potential weak point we contacted all buyers and retrieved as many sets as we could and issued replacements with no logo. Not everyone was reachable or responded. I do not know who this particular person is so I can't look up any information on the order. This person is more then welcome to contact us at 618-505-6633. We'll take care of the situation. |

So, problem resolved. How about some nudes now? |
I bet Brock went and pre-cut the arm at the seam with a sawzall. Trixy hobitses. |
That's a far better response than ANYONE who knows JBR expected. I can't say I'm not impressed. |
|
Thread moved and renamed. Drama club is not the appropriate section for this content. Being this can be quite a potential hazard, this information/thread should not be exclusive to just VIP members. |

Well, it's a known recalled part that broke years after install. It's like reporting a broken sure arm or Cpe rmm with bad bushing. She has called and left a message. As for nudes, those are the responsibility of the OP. Those are already posted in the penis thread. |

I bet Brock is actually a JBR employee and Jaime sends him out to create all this drama for the purpose of stirring up more revenue. :haha: |

Further edited since the later arms resolved the weakness in that spot, and to avoid hysteria. Quote:
I don't think this is gonna be a revenue increaser unless people see how quick there was a response and that it's a dead issue. Who knows. But I can put money on it that tokay is not on JBR payroll. |
so is jaimie gonna call someone stupid? or am i wasting time here? |

Gotta say, Jamie handled it with class and professionalism. Glad no one got hurt. |
Yeah, we're all pretty shocked at that. |

Probably the same as others. She's getting a new car. Or the same as the others who had em. New arms sent. Just guessing. Considering you have "fuck JBR" in your sig, and it's not your car, you are just being an annoyance and a negative vibe here. Cheer up. |
Kristen was contacted today. Being that we are out of our camber arms, she was offered and accepted a replacement set of her choice. She will have them in a couple days. |
Hated sure before it was cool too. Quote:

Didn't get laid, but I bought a Volkswagen. My anus would likely feel the same either way. |
If air cooled, cool. If water cooled, Might as well fuck a tranny. |

Tokay, so why are you exactly mad? JBR is giving her a replacement. Chill out. I'm sure you have broken your ms3, so what? You hate mazdas now? |

The problem with the defective camber arms, is they fit Gen1 and Gen2. This is better off being in the JBR Section, as it pertains to their product, and be a good head's up for anyone who happens to see them for sale, or on a used car they buy. I am moving it to JBR to better help the community. Why am I making a long, drawn out explanation? Because the @Tokay444; was blocked by @Haltech; from seeing the JBR section and will not have access to the thread after it is moved. As for the end result, it is clear from @jbarone;'s post that they bought the owner new camber arms of a different brand. I will check back with the owner on this, to calm the pitchfork brigade. |
Update, she went with SPC, just talked to her on Facebook. |
