Is 3.5" the ID or OD? I assumed ID, but your coupler sizes confused me. If 3.5" is OD, what is ID? Thx.

In the other thread he said that an air straightener would not be included.

Ezekiel81923 06-05-2012 06:17 AM

I'm in.

I'd like both couplers if that's possible. Obviously I'd pay for the extra one. If not then just the 4" BT coupler.

No re-circ.

MSFer87 06-05-2012 07:10 AM

I was wondering when someone was going to be smart and corner the market with a 1 piece intake/TIP. You are the man. Now I have to sell my Cobb combo for this!

maisonvi 06-05-2012 07:24 AM

This is awesome. I just bought a HTP inlet. If I decide to go BT in the future I want WP intake.

MS3Ghost 06-05-2012 08:06 AM

Count me in.

Stock coupler with recirc for me. Can you confirm that there will or won't be an air straightener?

jdub0802 06-05-2012 08:38 AM

I'm in. @jbarone

Jdub0802 - With Recirc & Stock Coupler

m249saw 06-05-2012 08:43 AM

Im interested in the setup with recirc and stock coupler but Im curious on the no airflow straightener.

@jbarone you said in the initial thread that it wasnt needed, yet I see some people having issues with idle LTFTs without one.

InFeXIoN 06-05-2012 08:54 AM

Put me on the list. Black with Recirc and 4" coupler.

Our testing has not needed one. That's not to say that some won't, all these cars can be different and not one tune will work on them all.

My LTFT's @ hot idle are -0.8

Thanks,
Jamie

Black Metal 06-05-2012 10:29 AM

Well I hope I'm not your test MS6 but if you haven't gotten a test fit by the time you can ship I'll still take one.

Mase 06-05-2012 10:57 AM

No recirc and stock coupler for me please. Thank you! :cool2:

I don't see a 3.5" inlet fitting a MS6 without having to relocate or go to a thinner battery. There is just not much room there. I would love to be proved wrong though!

Recirc w/ stock coupler for me please. Thanks!

Recirc/Stock Coupler for me as well. Nice work Jamie!

Speed3eak 06-05-2012 12:11 PM

God damnit jamie

Just when I'm having problems with fuel trims related to the TIP-SRI connection

I'll take one - Stock turbo (2.5" coupler) with the recirc option

I actually have two intakes AND two TIPS (corksport and CP-e) that I'll have to sell now because I've been lazy.

Actually this sounds fairly awesome. And. . . If I upgrade the turbo down the road I don't have to worry about getting a different intake.

KevMS6 06-05-2012 12:29 PM

Looks top quality as usual, great work Jamie :)

Dash08 06-05-2012 01:03 PM

Why do you have to release such blatant awesomeness when I am currently short on fundage?

I want this and now have to wait.

m249saw 06-05-2012 01:30 PM

Thanks for the info Jamie.

Ill take a recirc with stock KO4 coupler

Thanks

ETA: I know you are just trying to get a figure with this list but is there anyway to put money down to hold one? If im on duty at the fire department and miss the announcement and you are sold out Ill be sad.........

I agree completely. I've done a number of different intakes and inlet pipes over the years and they are all a very tight fit it you have a stock sized battery.

If you have a smaller battery, the tray would probably require some trimming.

This intake looks awesome though. A complete intake, one piece, no couplers except the one holding it to the turbo!? Thats all win JBR, nice work.

One-piece intake FTW! No more leaks at the couplers. Now I'll have to get an FMIC so my boost leak checker doesn't start feeling neglected.

Speaking of, when's that JBR FMIC project gonna be ready, Jamie? Looks like you've already got most of the pieces-parts, but you're just using them as background studio props in your pictures. No rush, I gotta let the bank account heal for a while. Just want to plan.

I would love to know how this sounds. I know that seems silly but I currently have the Cobb SRI and HTP TIP and I love how the metal TIP sounds. I know this is metal too but I really like the sound I get out of it but this is a really nice piece and I'll probably end up BT one of these days so...

You know Jamie, when you were at the OCC meet with the one unit, i sadi that we a few stockish Speed6s that we could do a quick test fit on. This whole issue of fitment on a MS6 could have been solved already. But I still love everything you make.

I'll make a new battery tray and get a thinner battery if need be.

Dash08 06-06-2012 02:28 PM

@jbarone Just curious, but is it even possible to get something like this a C.A.R.B. certification?

I know it's expensive as hell to get any aftermarket part CARB certified, but for the guys in strict smog states, it could mean the difference between not getting sent to a smog ref and being flagged and fined.

Just like Rodrigo. His once fire spitting, demon of an MS3 is now an intake only grocery getter.

dpolseno41 06-06-2012 05:46 PM

It'll be tempting to move the battery where the spare tire is. Ohhhhh the space in the engine bay then.
