Need to take your own advice. You should have not stated the words "preorder" around these vultures. The words you were looking for is "group intrest". Cause to be fair, pre-order does imply you are holding a spot even though you said it didn't.

Just a suggestion, since you created a pre-order list.

Have someone (could be you or web admin or whoever) create a non-public webpage, exactly the same webpage that you would have had anyway but don't have a link anywhere on the site. This way, you can PM everyone on the list the link and they have 24 hours to purchase. Once the 24 hours are up you can place the link as you would have already on your site.

So it would be say: www.jamesbaroneracing.com/wtfintake.html but with no link to it anywhere from your site. PM everyone this link so they can purchase within 24 hours.
after 24 hours do as you would have with the link on the side for the wtfintake on your site.

IMO that would be best.

Well, yes, when you first posted the OP, I understood it was an interest list. But, as the thread progressed, you specifically stated that the first batch was full and started taking names for a second batch. This certainly implied to me that the thread had now changed to some degree and people who were listed in first batch were going to get first dibs on the first batch. What else could one reasonably conclude from your breaking the list up into batches?

There were even people saying things like they didn't have money at the moment, switch people from second batch into first batch, and I don't believe you posted any correction that switching places in line had no meaning.

So, you got mad at people for making what to me is a completely reasonable conclusion based on how the thread progressed. Insisting that it should have been clear to everybody based on the OP ignores the fact that the thread had progressed significantly from that OP.

Rather than get mad for people coming to the wrong conclusion, please consider reading the thread and seeing if people's conclusions weren't reasonable given the thread as a whole.

Historically several folks on these lists back out or never buy so most of you should not sweat getting one.

It will almost definitely fit if you relocate your battery like I will be doing. Beyond that I think the battery tray will be in the way. It almost is on my corksport tip now.
