But, if you think there's a possibility you might get a big turbo in the future, it's probably a good investment. Also, as long as your MAF is calibrated correctly, I don't see a problem with getting "too big" of an intake. But you won't see any extra power unless you're pegging your MAF on the stock turbo - I'm not aware of anyone doing this, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You will see some benefit on the stock turbo, the MAF getting pegged is only part of the story. A larger diameter will keep the Pre-Compressor pressure higher, which has a large impact on compressor efficiency. Better efficiency means lower bats and reduced back pressure. The stock turbo might not flow enough to make a huge difference but there will be "some" change. The only reason not to get this intake vs any other on the market is if you are just looking to bolt on with no tuning required. Zigatapatalka

First of all, how can a big intake and/or big MAF possibly have any impact at all on pre-turbine pressures? The turbine is sitting in the exhaust gas flow. What I thought I understood - admittedly, not much - is that a big intake will reduce the air resistance the turbo (compressor) experiences. For a given flow through the EWG and therefore a given torque on the turbo spindle, the spindle should spool up faster; it should achieve the same level of boost more quickly. A big intake won't help you get more boost, it'll help you get the same boost quicker. It's like the old BASF tagline... Is that what you meant by compressor efficiency? Or, where did I go wrong?
