I've been rocking the spherical knobage since the OCC meat and loving it, with the KCR mod. Get some roundness! Another great product from the R&D labs of JBR.

speeed 05-18-2012 05:21 AM

Paid on 14th. Got It on 17th.
Thanks @jbarone

nickm757 05-18-2012 06:37 AM

Got your knob in the mail yesterday. The weight of it makes shifts slide right in to gear. I love the ribbed pleasure of the knob rings as well. I've never played with a knob so big before, but maybe it's just the rings that make it feel bigger. I got the red one and am glad it came out darker than the pics. Great job!!

TheGreatWhiteHype 05-18-2012 01:22 PM

Ordered mine last night with a bunch if other Jbr goodies:firedevil:

Awesomesauce 05-18-2012 02:35 PM

Just got my knob and kritz cock rings!!!

Mortose 05-18-2012 05:46 PM

@jbarone, your knob feels amazing!!!!

(can't believe i said that about another person's knob!)

roppy84 05-18-2012 09:41 PM

Got mine yesterday installed today love it:You_Rock_Emoticon:

Turkleton 05-19-2012 06:13 AM

My first drive with the knob had me asking where it had been all my life. Beautifully machined and finished piece.

G-Man 05-19-2012 08:24 AM

This thread will teach me to check out James' page before I go ordering stuff - DOH! Mine arrived 2 days ago and it's lovely :knockedout:

VRM_MS3 05-20-2012 01:15 AM

are the Cylindrical shift knob also available in red? can't find it on the product page.

Mike@Stratified 05-20-2012 06:34 PM

Just ordered. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

deek 05-20-2012 10:22 PM

Quick question, can kinda see from pics but these just screw on right? (like oem) They don't have the little pressure tabs that come loose after a hard shift (like cheap autozone ones) love all of my jbr stuff so far , just gotta decide if this is what I want for early fathers day.

its got an adapter that you screw on, then the knob goes on that with the lock nut. trust me, if you do it right, its not coming off without some persuasion.

Any problems with people breaking the aluminum adapter? Looks more secure then others. I've literally broken multiple aluminum short shifters off and ended up with the knob in my hand, those crappy ones from autozone that screw into the linkage are fine around town but I rip them off super quick. Gotta stop hitting the gym lol.

Edit: looks like the type r knob that I had that was so secure that it tightens into the adapter and is very solid. Hmm does the baby want to buy a knob for daddy to play with
From the looks in the pic they look very secure

Mortose 05-20-2012 10:43 PM

the adapter is light, but felt solid. The directions for install are pretty clear that when screwing it on, to work it back and forth, due to new threads being cut. I was cranking on it pretty good with the socket when the threads were cutting, and no issues or rounding of the hex side.

They are not and the Spherical will not be for long either; the red just doesn't sell.

Thanks,
Jamie

I think people like the red but the pictures make it seem wayy bright. I was gonna get it but I didn't want it to be too bright. I hear it's not as bright as the pics though.

JBR 05-21-2012 07:27 PM

It's not nearly as bright as my shitty pics make it out to be. It' is pretty slick when you see it but, I can totally understand how you could be a little concerned about it being too much.

JBR 05-22-2012 06:56 AM

Thanks guys! OP updated with current status.

pebenito 05-22-2012 11:28 AM

I got mine last Thursday, you can update the OP for that too.

czh5005 05-23-2012 11:47 AM

Got mine Jamie, thanks. Your knob feels good in my hands especially with the ribs.

fooqr 05-24-2012 02:15 PM

Ordered silver vein spherical, with kritz o-rings.

deek 05-24-2012 02:46 PM

Delivered and installed

I must of gotten lucky cuz it went on straight perfect the first time. Hardest part of installation was finding my big man screw driver for nut, took longer to find then actually install.

Review,
Jamie your knob is huge, must make your parents proud. Feels great, gonna go swap the rmm to the chrome Molly right now. Don't know if it was just cuz I left the gym or if it's that heavy but 2 lbs is mucho gordo. Felt more like a grenade then a shift knob lol. Makes shifts smooth as butter. (the can kind)

Turkleton 05-24-2012 03:33 PM

You're gonna love the RMM. :)

LatinKraze 05-24-2012 03:53 PM

Ordered! I have the original smooth cylindrical version. I enjoyed it until it slipped out of my sweaty hand the other day, lol. Looking forward to the extra grams and new finish.

Rmm on and solid. Trying to figure out how girls are getting wet though, if people complain about vibes your a sissy lol. Barely can feel any vibes at idle and a little around 1500 rpm, but it's still brand new. The little at 1500 feels like your about to stall but not bad at all. Shifts feel great, no motor slap between shifts anymore I think I may be in love with a man named Jamie lol.

Oh and my exhaust got louder

Turkleton 05-25-2012 01:04 AM

Yeah I've put about 500km on the RMM and the vibes have pretty much settled. From 1200-1800 in 1st doesn't rattle like it used to. The only other spot I've noticed vibes is at 3000-3800rpm, but even then it's not like it was when I first installed it -- I miss how it was a few days ago.

I feel so much more connected to the car on the throttle now, plus the engine sound in the cabin is amazing.

deek 05-26-2012 11:36 AM

Eff me for living in a desert, jbr love your shift knob but it's like 150*+ right now on the sun, gonna try putting a tshirt over it when I have to park it in the sun, would rather burn my hand and shift smooth then go back to the stocker lol.

VRM_MS3 05-27-2012 12:53 PM

got mine last Thursday. thanks JBR

Naaman 05-27-2012 07:13 PM

Would have started sooner if I had the funds. Now that I do, it is time to put a little of it in the car and into the pockets of people making great products for it!

JBR 05-30-2012 06:12 AM

Awesome GB guys, thank so much!!

OP updated with the most current order and status information. If you ordered and aren't listed or your order has been delivered let me know. Most of you should have received them by now.

Thanks,
Jamie

fooqr 05-30-2012 10:54 AM

Mine came yesterday.

@jbarone, if I'm replacing one of your cylindrical knobs for the spherical, can I leave the old aluminum adapter on there, or do I need the new one? Thx.

Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk 2

JBR 05-30-2012 11:05 AM

Use the old one.

G-Man 05-30-2012 08:39 PM

Totally didn't mention I fitted it to my wife, she drives the car for the day and then tells me how much she likes the feel of the new knob :hmmm:

Received yesterday. It's an improvement over the older cylindrical style. Love the finish, the o-rings, and the extra weight makes for an even better shift. Thanks
