Car is running like a champ. 25.5 PSI on 2 gallons of E85 and the rest 93.

I'm at 115% IDC though in 80 degree weather, though. Next up is fuel and a 3.5" or 4" intake. It was cooler this morning and I experience MAF cut for the first time at 5700 RPM on the 3".

Last dyno pull had me at 420WHP/410WTQ on our Mustang Dyno. Hitting full boost at 4000RPM.

Just put some KW coilovers on it about a month ago. It's like a brand new car!

Still plenty of work to do. The goal is 500WHP on our dyno and then I'll work on finishing up all the under hold cosmetics.

End result, though....I need a daily driver. I drive about 20 miles a day in the car right now, which is fine...but I don't wanna be doing clutch swaps every 18 months...

MAF cut occurs somewhere just north of 4.9V (maf). I've seen >140% IDC and it won't cut because of it, lol.

good chit dude. damn 25psi at 4000rpm has got to bust the tires loose like whoa. can't wait to see what happens with a bigger intake. tapering the boost up to redline will help the spinning and stretch the horsepower out, which I'm sure you know. how much timing are you able to get with the 2g of e85? you should get some 5th port fueling too haha

I need the 5th port for sure.

I haven't been able to get back on the dyno in awhile. It's always clogged up with damned N55 BMWs and now the Focus ST.

I'm only running 14* of timing at 25 PSI as of now. I don't have the headroom on the MAF or the fuel to make any additional power.

I did, however, just work a deal with Jamie to buy a used WP intake off of him. I've just been too damned lazy to build my own. Frankly, after I buy the material, spend the time to fab it, then get it coated, it would probably end up costing somewhere near what it's costing me now.

Anywho, here's a pic of the car after a clay and wax this weekend.

There is a set of brand new StopTechs on our SEMA Focus that are just sitting there, staring at me.

They're not next on the list but the brakes are certainly on the list.


I think new wheels are in order. Those are about as cheap a wheel as you can get. Drag DR-31. I've had my eyes on some Works for some time now. Those or some Prodrive GC-06Hs that are sitting in my shop...

Damn this is a legit build. Only thing im worried about is fucking with these rods and bearings on my build... best suggestion so I dont have to run into these machining problems

The good news is that there are more bearing options available these days. There are also more con rod options as well.

Really, if you have a good machinist working on your build, cutting/coating/modifying bearings isn't really a big deal. My guy didn't even think twice about it.

Hmm ya im thinkin about same rods as u like eagle or k1 mostly becuz of reviews and price... I havent chosen my machine shop yet but im using one of the ones my grand father has used for years
