Aahh ok haha We never referenced or spoke of the diameter of the turbine shaft nor is it fair to compare to OEM since the CHRA is a MHI unit. Same with comparing a GT28 to OEM.

Reading that paragraph I can see how that would be confusing. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll make a correction.

That is referring to the "nose" of the wheel (turbine or compressor) which makes the wheel lighter and increases the blade surface area.
Here is an image of the compressor wheel differences between an 18G Billet and Cast:

If you go into it thinking "I don't want to fuck that thing up" and you baby it from the start its usually easier. Spray it with PB a few times. When you first break it loose, spray it again and work it back and forth before trying to loosen more. Even if it spins a full turn or whatever it may still bind up because they're fickle bitches. Every 1/4 or 1/2 turn you get, however easy, spray it again and work it back and forth a few times.

Also, if you haven't taken the plunge by next Sunday I'll be in VA Beach and could probably lend a hand. Or at least watch, laugh at you and drink a beer.

Well I got the CS turbo and new DP in. It took 12 hours and I ended up with all the coolant dumped right on my face. Sorry my brother took the video upsidedown. Also did not fuck up my o2 sensors !!!=)

Aww, poor lil' loog. I don't expect to be installing my DP for at least another week, but I've been spraying them with PB/WD-40 whenever I have the chance.

I'm guessing the biggest issue people are having as far as X-threading their O2 sensors is the angles at which they're removed or installed. Always try to do the removal as slowly as possible, a la MSP6's instructions. Before installing the DP/TP, take the removed O2 sensors and thread them into the new parts by hand on a bench, as str8 as possible. If they bind at all, use a thread chaser as the threads in the new parts may have some manufacturer's errors/casting junk, coatings, whatever. Once the parts (especially the DP) are installed it's pretty difficult to gauge how st8 you are regarding the threads, if you can always start this kinda stuff by hand, or use an old piece of slit vacuum hose to grasp the O2 sensor and use that to start the threading process. If using extensions on your ratchest, always be sure to hold the head of the ratchet to make sure it doesn't apply force on an unwanted angle.

This stuff can take practice and feel to get it right, but they are expensive and time consuming lessons your first time out without any tips or help.

a C5 vette and a fullblown built and bolted brz .

the BRZ pulled on me , but smelled sweet. so i could not hate on it.

we had a nice talk.

time to install the CS turbo and the other shit i have lying waiting.
i did not know they were serialized

So CS...do you plan on limiting production to 9999 units? That's not a good goal. Add a few more 0s to that serial number. I feel like this thing is going to be a hit for a long time.

Oh and start doing package deals with your ebcs and maybe a new map sensor
