Default 3 Weeks after OCC Install, P2187 OBDII Code

I installed my OCC 3 or 4 weeks ago, and now my CEL is on. I used a OBDII tool and it said there was a P2187/P2187PD code. Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting?

The line, "I don't know what that means." referring to lean at idle, means you guys are wasting your breath.

I have googled, and read some older posts. Some of the common issues are with the purge valve getting stuck open. Is there an easy way to test to see if this is the issue, I know replacing it would, but other than that?

Start with what you changed. Common sense troubleshooting 101

It's not your purge sol it's the lines to the OCC, PCV valve or the can itself.

Good hunting.

was going to say if you didn't figure it out yet, it's the pcv valve. i had that hose fall of like 3 times on me. Do you have the longer pcv valve matt damond has? i forget what it was actually... the better one to prevent leaks or back pressure or some crap. I know the old one he had was short and the hose would never stay on long because it couldn't get a good grip.

Okay, in an attempt to jack this thread, I just did my OCC and my fuel trims are 14%. But ONLY above 2.4 MAF volts. They fluctuate between -0.8% -> +5% and then when I hit 2.4 V they jump to 14.1%. If it was a leak wouldn't it leak constantly?

I reset my ecu but after 25 miles it still did it. Should I wait until more miles?

Are you monitoring with a Dashhawk?

I wouldn't doubt that your old pcv valve was clogged, and now your trims are showing.

Yes, DashHawk. My car only has 10k, the pcv can be clogged in that short a time?

Last night I zero'd out the MAF table in my SB so I can start adjusting them from scratch again.

I don't know about 10k as far as completely clogging, but maybe enough to affect trims.

I had 2187 and 0455 codes that I repeatedly cleared and they returned within 20 miles. I bought the Dorman 911-702 replacement purge valve, checked the hose (clear) and CEL is now clear for 10+miles.
