Default Access Port/ATR Issues

So I've used my access port multiple times and about two months ago I down loaded the ATR software. I'm not at a point where Im working with Stratified Tuning and wanted to load up ATR tonight.

Every time I try to install the ATR software it prompts me an error stating "connect access port" yet its connected and I was just in Access port Manager and its working fine in there.

I've closed out of AP Manager and tried to install again and it didnt work.

Any ideas? Im at the first stages of tuning and dont wont to be delayed because of this issue.

I've noticed that if I've just installed APM and then try to install ATR, I get that error. Try rebooting your PC and attempting the ATR install again.

Yes, I tried a reboot and had the same thing. AP Manager works fine, I've tried this on two PCs with the same results. I just started tuning with Lex and can't even add my first one because of this. FML

DO you know if theres a driver for the dongle?

Finally after 5 hours I found a fix.

Basically from what I could gather the ATR software would uninstall the Access Port driver while trying to install the software. Causing the software to think the AP isnt connected. So, on a long shot I said to my self, when I reach the point where it gives me an error stating the AP isnt connected and to please connect it, I thought, why dont I just try installing Access Port Manager at the same time. Hoping this would trick the ATR software to think the driver is installed. Sure enough it worked, honestly thats not how it should work at all. I actually had the same issue on two computers so I know it wasnt just my PC having the problem.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future.

Yes and firmware was up to date. Really odd it was basically uninstalling the ap drivers when installing atr.
