I'd prefer a log in the meg plus range; ~15 minutes with multiple WOT pulls. If you can provide that, I'll take it.

I still need at least one person (preferably on pump gas, uncalibrated) to step forward before I release to the tuning groups for beta testing. Requirements are in OP.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Enki: I'd rather not go WOT 3-4 times with an OTS MAF cal, would it be fine if I manually modified the MAF cal to be overly rich? This would result in a MAF cal that isn't right, but is still safe enough that I don't hit 13.X AFR at WOT. I realize this might only test some parts of your code, but I'd rather not go super lean with an OTS cal.

If you're worried about going lean, target rich in the OTS WOT AFR targets (modify it). The app will compensate appropriately.

Enki, I just started doing a new CAL on a freshly built motor. I got halfway through the PT mafcal but couldnt finish before having to go to Texas for work. Mt WOT is completely un cal'ed and PT is not quite there yet. I will be back home on Friday night and can take logs saturday for you.

Awesome man! so I assume this will be similar to Scoobie RomRaider's auto maf cal but would include both CL and OL calibration? RR just basically plots + or - fuel trims over time from a long PT log so its not for WOT calibration AFAIK. Then you apply its plotted correction to your PT maf region.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have a good portion of test data at the moment, just working through some problems I've found with the logic as a result; the issue I found would have properly fucked the mafcal so it's a damn good thing I got the data I did when I did.
The current implementation of trimming also uses the x number of most common trims per .01 voltage; for example: You have 3 instances of +7 LTFT, 2 instances of +5 and 1 instance of 0 at 2.2 volts. With the LTFT trim setting at 1, your calculated LTFT modifier for that voltage will be 7; with a trim setting of 2, it would be ((7*3)+(5*2))/5 or 6.2. The same trim settings are available for LTFT, STFT, and WOT AFR. Obviously, since STFT and WOT AFR are going to vary more highly, the default values for these trims are higher. TLDR: Progress is slow but existent.

nice....so using the STFT value modifier, can you eliminate STFT from the calculation? I generally ignore STFT due to its volatility and instead put more time into the car at various voltage ranges so STFT gets transferred to LTFT. This can be done very successfully in very few miles if you do it right. awesome app either way.

Yes, you can set it so that you use a percentage of the most common x values or completely disregard it altogether.

Slowly. Between work and other real life stuff, I've not had much time to either work on this or tinker with the 'Speed (the latter being significantly more important to the community than this app). Tomorrow afternoon sometime, I get to go in and see a doctor about my foot; either have a stress fracture (less likely) or tendon/ligament damage (fallen arch?). I'll get it done eventually guys.

Thanks Hal, but it isn't a simple matter of knowledge (I soak up knowledge like a dry sponge soaks up water); time is the thing I lack. Hell, I still need to rebuild my pump as the car...well, shouldn't be driven to be honest.

All of a sudden, thread smells of burning rubber and cum. It is a mystery.

Good news and bad news. Starting with the bad: Apparently, I've lost all the source at some point during the computer move; it's nowhere to be found and I've just discovered this. The good: I'll be redoing the app in WPF as I need to learn it for work anyways, so the UI will be better, and since I already had it working once, I'll be able to redo the code in a more concise manner making development cycles on it much, much shorter and more option rich, easier. I should also be able to refine the database structure and add in the ability to integrate multiple logs into one dataset for re-processing (in case you have multiple logs, it will now be possible to combine them all). If requested, I can implement filtering/highlighting in exportable datasets, with statistics. Please to be commenting.

Dang, that sucks Enki. I would suggest https://bitbucket.org/ for all your source control needs. They have both public and private repos for free. I've been using it for a few private projects lately and love it.

Well the only reason I lost it is due to the computer move. I'll have multiple backups (including cloud) in the near future (as in when I start writing code). Edit: In case there was any doubt, the next step on my list for the old project was to completely overhaul it as it was bloated and ran like ass towards the end. This way I can kill two birds with one stone.

like my dad used to always say " son, a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all" a code monkey without a backup is like a hooker without KY.

I burned the drives without making sure I had everything. Fucking stupid. More work for me, more wait for you. I'm going to add more functionality to it in the short term, so it will be better right out of the gate, so it will be an overall better tool.
