Got a new toy today
 

I owned my Speed 3 for a little over a year and it was a great car I was ready to move on to something else instead of dumping more money into the speed. So I came home with this beauty today. I joined the darkside :)

Its stock with TSW Nurburgrings and has a cobb tuner for now. So far its awesome and can't say enough good things. I will however stick around MSF as no other forum give me so much entertainment.

TSW Nurburgrings + COBB AP = not stock. Just sayin'.

I am sure the seats are great but the rest is pretty lack luster. Main reason i went with a ms3. over other competitors. SRT-4 calibur, looks ok, interior could live with, shifter in stupid ass spot, no thanks.

Ms3 good car, best interior in its class for sure. Yea its plastic and such, but it just doesnt feel like cheap plastic like the others, and the designs is something i dont mind looking at cant say that for the others. Except maybe the gen2, i could never get used to looking at chicken pox

I agree on the low quality interior (other than the seats) for a $30k plus car. However defending the older evo 8/9...low quality interior because racecar. I really dont think anyone bought an older evo for the interior and if they did than they were crazy. I love the seats in the X but I sure do hate the rest of the interior. But aside from the interior your buying more of a performance package all around.

That's one thing I'll never understand, "you got a gti for the interior?! Fag your shits sloooow" "man that evo interior isn't as nice as the ms3" dont get me wrong I like my pu interior but fuck it if "because race car" gut it, right? Light is better.

Nice find and agreed as well that its nice you didn't pick up an MR. That car is basically stock and its hard to find any of these cars that are used in 100% stock form unfortunately :(

What are the plans for it? Hopefully nothing to crazy and just simple bolt ones with a good custom tune. These cars with intake, upgraded IC piping, upgraded exhaust, upgraded boost solenoid and a good tune can make 325-370whp with the stock turbo and fuel system :biggrin:

That is exactly my plan. I already have an ETS inake, UIC, and a Perrin 3-port on the way and its going to be tuned with the new parts next Thursday. I'll try to remember to post up some dyno numbers next week.

For all the interior critics... if I wanted the nicest interior I wouldn't have bought an evo or an ms3. I bought the car for its performance and fun factor and I could care less if my dash trim isn't made of unobtanium

Nice pickup, but I found Evo X to be boring to drive on the street, not very engaging unless pushed hard, then it comes alive. Overall, highly capable but it's too easy to drive, too refined compared to previous gens. I would get bored with it in few months as DD.

I drive this car 400+ miles a week and enjoy something that can be driven easily. Your right though, when pushed this car has butt hole puckering amounts of grip especially with the Bridgestone RE-11 tires on it now. I love it so far though

Have fun with it and lots of people can agree with the X interior being nothing to brag about except the two front seats :silly: Looking forward to seeing how the car does with less restrictions of air flow and a good tune ;) What year is your X by the way? There are minor improvements to the newer X's over the early years.

Its a 2011 phantom black. I'm going to be removing and plasti-dipping those horrible chrome mirror covers today to. I don't know why that was even an option

Looks good figured its a GSR. My buddy bought a 2010 evo SE last year and I must say those cars are sharp. Also nice you got the 10+ ones with the center gauge has color to it instead of the 08-09 with the older display. And he does like the ms3 interior over the evos lol. No more torque steer for you lol.

I must say those leather recaros are very nice.. I remember when my boy first got his and I said "this is some fine craftsmanship" but other than the ms6 interior is better!

I don't miss the torque steer one bit. Its not that bad honestly but once you can go WOT at apex and claw your way out :headbang: I don't miss it at all. I think this car was a good pick up and look forward to getting some mods on it. Hopefully it will be faster than my MS3 :)

Well your definitely faster on the turns and on a launch. Going down hills with an evo I was understeering like mad Q.Q
