Spend My Money For Me Soooo I'm indecisive, lazy, fearful & ocd. These things cause problems when it comes to spending money. I'm making a list here with links to help myself, but I also want your suggestions if necessary. I'm set on the wheels, tho, since I want to try and keep the negative scrub radius. If you know of a better price, part, have another suggestion or are a vendor looking to deal, hit me up and/or post in here. As far as parts I'm not decided on yet, I'm fine with DIY so if another OCC will work but doesn't have a check valve, I'll get a check valve ya know? Md occ.....(Matt Damond oil catch can) Rsb-jbr. |

I heard TriPoint's race bar was the stiffest. No? |
I seem to recall having heard some not-so-great things about the Ralco RZ short shifters. I think if you look around a little bit, you'll find some mentions of it being "weak" or "rattly" or something along those lines. I think I'd go with the TWM kit instead, though it is significantly pricier. |
i got my rpf1's for 1k shipped, pm me |
From what I've read, the Conti's are okay at everything, great at nothing. I still say a summer setup and a winter setup. |

I hear front sway bar isn't worth it since u will get way too much oversteer or understeer, one of those. Umm but for rear sway bar......I'd just go jbr Mazdaspeed 3 (07' - 2012) : James Barone Racing, Custom Fabrication And the oil catch can you can get from Matt damond. http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...-thread-36097/ |

If you want to know about the Ralco RZ for sure, I suggest you chat with Daddy Chinkus. I think he's got one in his car. |
I want more of a "If it were my car and I could do it again, I'd buy ____ because ____." |
OP updated. Easiest to drain OCC that'll work with a CAI. |
OCC=matt damond or JBR EGR delete=JBR RSB=no clue Plugs=Denso ITV22's BSD=I personally like the SURE BSD Rear Camber Arms=Megan or SPC. Both adjust on the car |
Is there a bsd walk-through? Any less expensive occ's or would making a cheaper one work negate the savings? Link to Megan camber arms? @jbarone - does yours adjust when installed? What is the consensus on rear toe adjusters? |
No, his arent adjustable once on the car. |
Thanks. Do Megan arms have stiffer bushings? |

I have heard it from reputable source, but I am NO EXPERT! May somebody who know about the possible problems that short shifter can bring can comment here...it will be nice to know for sure. |
Whoever said a STS ruins your synchros is retarded. That said, I'm just buying that to replace my stock unit. I'm going to add a 2" extension to bring it back to stock height anyways. |
FSB = no oversteer Quote:
Hotchkis FSB Install @Tomas sais (post #5) that he does not experience oversteer. In fact he highly recommends Hotchkis FSB. |
Ralco STS ordered from THMotorsports: $116.61 shipped. :) Hubcentric rings ordered from EBay - $9. McGard lug kit ordered - $38 after using AMEX points (from ~$85) Question: Why are the spark plug part numbers for 2010 MS3's and 2008 MS3's different? @Daddy Chinkus - is the shifter a STS because they cut the shaft down or because the linkage connection is longer? NGK 2008: ILTR6A-8G .032" NGK 2010: SILTR6A-7G .027" Obviously the gap, but what else? |
If you are getting an AP, you might as well invest in one step colder plugs. For the OCC....yes, MC's is a great setup, but it isn't anything you can't do yourself. You can install the OCC by the horn bracket, which lets you drain the easiest, or by the CAI (should still fit). When you do install the OCC, you should also clean your valves and do the EGR blockoff at the same time, since it is a seriously big PITA without the I off. |
linkage is but the shifter itself is also shorter |
Any knowledge on the plug part numbers? |
+1 for TriPoint Rear Swaybar. Their customer service is better than amazing. I'd rather support them then someone who's an ass to anyone who questions their products (JBR). |

JBR is also one of the cockiest people ever on the forum. Shifting a car without using the clutch says nothing about someone's knowledge oor experience with car setup. :smashfreakB: I'm also not the one who can't use the search function for one of the most commonly discussed maintenance upgrades. |
I have the ralco and I have had it on ye car for about a year...... I am pretty happy with it..... Only thing I don't like is I think it is about 1/2 an inch shorter than the twm and when you put the car in reverse it rubs on the shifter boot.... I am on my second shifter boot |

And yes that is the short boot |
Weird. Is it something on the inside? I ask because I have a grinder... and mine is already purchased :P |
Yeah there is a plastic piece that you could prolly trim down..... I am just to fucking lazy |
So lazy, in fact, that you can't type two "o's," in "too." <3 |
All these mentions of Matt Damond.. I don't think the guy exists. I think he is made up. Either that or he has been on location with Ben for the last 6 months. The guy reminds me of the R.O.U.S.es or Keyser Söze. |

He is there, he just hides well @Bosox |
Hello, They are very similar, but have different part numbers. The SILTR6A-7G is dealer only. The ILTR6A-8G is the option available for purchase in the aftermarket. Best Regards, Andrew Hauenstein Technical & Training Specialist NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc |
Note: Holy crap, I got my hubcentric rings already. I bought them on 5.3.2012 for $8.90 with free shipping on they're here... cray. I highly recommend "aaiautomotiveaccessories," on EBay. |
McGards came in. One point of contention: The spline-drive nuts have rotating seats so they don't fuck your wheels up. The locks that came with it do not. I'm happy because they'll protect my shit, but still... wtf? |
Purchased: Ratings, reviews and specifications for Continental ExtremeContact DW tires http://www.discounttiredirect.com/pr...conhzb.ang.jpg Now if only THM would give me a tracking number for my shifter... |
