Well i was driving home from college today and while cruzing along some bitch slammed it into reverse and swinged right in my lane without looking and I had less than 1 car length to stop. So of course i tried to stop and get out of the way but that didn't happen. Now the car is in the collision shop I wait till tomorrow to be appraised to see if it is totalled. Hopefully I can get her repaired.

Did it fuck up the drive line...thats gunna be a close one depending on the miles and unseen damage....best of luck w/ the insurance co.

I couldn't get a police report because no one was hurt and our shitty cops don't go on a scene unless injuries or disputes. I know it's stupid. And with the drive train all i can tell is that my ABS brake system is destroyed, NO damage to the engine, might have frame damage, most likely will need a new AWD unit and tons of body damage. My dad used to work in a mechanic shop and my two uncles own body shops and they estimated from the pictures no less than 8k in damage:(

EDIT: Oh and i have 100% coverage and i also have the lady's Allstate covering it and the way it looks that she has good insurance. THAT BITCH WILL PAY!

Wow, where are you from that cops dont report to an accident scene?
I had my rear bumper smashed in at a red light about a year ago and help up traffic for a good hour so a cop could arrive and take a look at everything and write it down

I know cops around here aren't allowed to come unless someone is injured on private property which could be the parking lots in and around most shopping centers and stores. I was reversed into at a movie theater and they were not allowed to come due to private property.

Philadelphia is the same way, unless there is an injury, a car needs to be towed, or there is damage to property. The report is taken over the phone or directly at the police station. A car will not be dispatched otherwise.

Good luck with everything OP, hopefully you don't get fucked by insurance. Just because she was in front of you means your at fault. If she was backing out of a driveway, you have the right of way. You didn't really specify where she was reversing from so I assumed it was a driveway or parking spot.

She was in a parking spot right next to the road. It's one of those things that it can only be explained in person dealio. Also I know I won't be screwed over on this because my mother works for one of the best injury law firms in town specializing in car accidents and personal injuries, so the lady that backed into the road and caused the wreck better hope I don't have any more back problems. I already have diagnosed minor scoliosis so she better hope I didn't injure my back badly. (sorry about the rant at the end)

That sucks dude. Unless you're upside down on the car, I'd rather have my shit totaled. Repaired cars are NEVER the same, especially when the damage was significant. But even a fender bender can leave you with forever fucked up body lines.

Sorry to hear about that man, hope it works out for you. If you do get it totaled, there's several great options for a replacement ms6 in the fs section right now.

Get your mods off if possible too, insurance most likely won't let you touch it once they pay you.

As sad as it might be I think you are better off totaled. From the pictures I think its a write off and cause you said possible frame damage. With a hit like that you'll need motor mounts, possible tranny and awd unit and with axles. If you get it repaired get a new suspension and driveline as a hit like the ruins everything. My brother had a car with a little fender bender. He had it repaired body wise and the car never drove the same. Felt really loose and unsafe.

You can buy the car back if you tell them you want it back. The title will be salvaged marked though.

Well today I'm supposed to hear back to see if it is totaled. If it's not totaled I'm going to repair it beyond perfection. (My 2 uncles have body shops. One specializes in repairs and the other specializes in paint)
But if it is totaled I'm going to take my mods off and see if I can buy it back then buy another ms6 and have the wrecked one as parts. But the most likely I'll just end up taking the money and buying another ms6.

The way I look at it-> if insurance is paying take the most you can. If the car is at you uncles right now and it gets written off, take the parts before they take it.

Well it is totaled and her insurance took all liability. But the good news is that they're going to give me 12600 and I'm buying the car back for 500. So I'm looking for another ms6 because I don't want any other car. Hopefully I can find one fairly soon and near because my rental car is horrible.

Man of that is a gt I need the antenna for the smart key. If you can get it and wanna sell pm me. And if the back bumper is in tact I would really appreciate the exhaust over for the passenger side.

Redding California in shasta county. Also it is a gt but I'm going to keep all my parts for now till I get my next car to see if I need the parts for another ms6
