Very helpful especially for me (my first turbo car ever, still learning about turbos). Just out of curiousity and for the future, how much would an average cost be to run a set up to hit 400hp?

It really all depends on your driving habits. If you are taking that 400 to to the strip, it won't last long, but just doing rolls on the highway, the stock clutch will handle 400+

Thanks for the list, Eric. Interesting that no meth is mentioned or required. Out of that list, I'm pretty much just missing the injector seals, motor mounts (except RMM), catback exhaust, MBC and the turbo. I have a TIP that came with the CS SRI - hoping that is sufficient.

What about the GTX2867? Been hearing good things about it (how it spools nearly as fast as the stock turbo, and how it has good power)....

edit: Turns out the GTX2867R can make 400, but is probably more comfortable around 350 - 370 (?). I'm cool with that... was really only planning for 350whp safely with insta-spool, and without meth (if possible). GTX2867!

Great list, thank you for that. I was just curious because the OP said that this was 400whp for a DD. Im looking to go BT in a year or so, so I need to save up now and I wont have a second car so I'd have to be able to DD it.

I hollowed out my second cat today...was pretty easy. Took a drive and it wasn't bad...mid range was better but not all that. Everything else is bone stock. Did the walnut valve job about two weeks ago, my SSP catch is on it's way. My slow and steady quest for improvement will be over time since my MS3 speed is just my commute car to get to work. I mostly drive a CX-9 since I have a somewhat large family.
