Default interesting things when battery is dead/dying

Ok .. this is weird.

I have some type of parasitic drain on my battery. I was out of town for about a week and got back to a basically dead battery which i was expecting. Got it jumped/started/charged with my wall car battery charger overnight and now i'm good again.

Here is the weird part. While the battery was too dead to crank the engine over but still had a wee bit of juice left my gauges it did the "peg the right side of the gauges" thing that some cars do "because its cool" when they start up. I've NEVER seen it do that before. I've had the car for like 2 1/2 or 3 years at this point.

Why would that ONLY happen now .. when the battery was too dead to actually crank the car?

Also .. something else that is weird ... my back left window will sometimes not go down. Its as if the switch is dead. It will fix itself if the battery is disconnected (or in this case, drains too low). Once i go through the "window reset" procedure it'll start working again after battery disconnect/drain.

Any ideas? I'm not sure where my battery drain is yet as its never really been an issue until recently since i've been driving the car less and less (work from home now).

Figured i'd ask here.

Thanks in advance.

This just happened to be last week, In addition to pegging the right side of the gauges my alarm will start going off. It seems like some security feature (since alarm would go off) but i really have no idea. i bought a new battery and not worry about it no more.
